McCabe has already shown Congress what he thinks of their authority. Didn’t even show up.

McCabe, that’s who. When it broke last night that Ohr’s wife at Fusion was also a CIA employee, suddenly McCabe had a conflict and couldn’t testify today. It’s clear that he didn’t dare face the questions about that without meetings to cook up a story.

Frankly, I would love for McCabe to plead the Fifth; just like Michael Corleone in Godfather II, only McCabe is supposed to be on the side of the Law. The optics of an FBI deputy director pleading against testimony that “may tend to incriminate him” are fantastic. Of course, I would imagine that AG Sessions will pay it no attention or conclude that it will take a four year investigation while McCabe keeps his job.
