i always thought it was more so the real guilty parties would have minions in the loop to keep them abreast of what is going on and what evidence they need to be able to either defend, or defend against...It’s over... When there isn’t anything there, and your staff is full of Trump haters with several ties to the source information, and even possible involvement in the development of the source information for the inception of the investigation to begin with, your chances of bringing any charges against Trump that won’t be eventually be thrown out of a legal court, and the court of public opinion are slim at best.
The question is... Did Mueller surround himself with such a team knowing that it would doom the entire investigation to failure? I doubt it, but with each passing day and each revelation that people associated with the investigation are obviously tainted beyond reason, the concept of ever bringing any charges that will stick become essentially impossible.
You got a couple guilty pleas for perjury to investigators, and it looks like you did something to justify spending ten million dollars. Now it’s time to pack your bags and move on.
