Democratic Minnesota Sen. Al Franken has yet to announce when hes actually going to leave office.
Franken announced last Thursday that he would be resigning in the coming weeks after eight different women accused him of groping or forcibly kissing them. The timing of Frankens resignation remains unclear, as is his motive in delaying it, New York Magazines Ed Kilgore noted at the time.
Franken has yet to offer any more specificity about when hes going to follow through in resigning.
Frankens office did not return multiple requests for comment on the subject.

If Moore wins he will say....why should I go when Republicans let him in the senate?
He isn't going anywhere. It was just a sound bite for MSM, see we took one of ours out.

frankengroper is smarter than he looks (low bar).
He has taken himself out of the spotlight (and out of practical reach of Senate proceedings, which can carry criminal penalties).
He is now being paid for doing — NOTHING. If he votes on anything or takes ANY action, he brings the spotlight back.
Now he can just sit back and collect a check (he might be medium rich but still...) and play the waiting game. He probably cracks up every now and then thinking he has the last laugh when everyone has to wait on his arbitrary decision on when.
Or he is just a d!ck.

The other day I heard that Gov. Dayton was in the process of selecting a replacement. Since then ZIPPO so it’s fair to assume that the left is up to it’s old tricks. Franken is not going anywhere.

and that’s the way Dems go....
To: ColdOne
I like him staying as an example of Democrat moral high ground. If he resigns the governor will appoint a less blemished person and a liberal. So leave Franken alone as a tainted member, he will have less juice.
To: ColdOne
I bet if Moore loses, Franken won’t go either. He’ll say Trump needs to go too, or something equally stupid.
It’s just a ploy.

in the coming weeks could mean whatever he wants it to mean. If he serves out all of his term except the last 30 seconds he would have left “in the coming weeks”.
