Hellary was supposed to win by the polls, too.

Not so much FNC, but who they contracted to run the poll, no? I’d read somewhere the turnout model was R+2... widely at variance with the others that showed at least an R+10 turnout.

When Moore wins by ten, how superfluous is FoxNews going to look?

Man, they’ll look absolutely worthless.

I understand Fox News has an agenda, just like CNN, MSNBC. Journalism is dead, in the words of one of their employees. What’s disappointing is that their personalities, with some exceptions, have fallen into lock step with this agenda. OANN is looking better all the time. That being said, there is too much good coming out of FNC for me to turn them off completely. Once Moore wins and this nonsense is over, I’ll go back to Judge Jeanine, Laura Ingraham and my other favorites.

This is written as if Fox has any remaining credibility.

They have none.

Any discharges from that sewer are just that.

Why anyone gives credence is puzzling.

What was incredible was that a couple of weeks ago, Fox News did a huge, 3-day poll and found a landslide coming for Moore. So they immediately did a quick, tiny, one-day poll by hired DC political consultants to find a sizeable lead for Jones, and published that instead.

Fox New’s polls lost total credibility, when in 2016, it predicted losses for Trump in basically every primary and with Illiarily.

Polls are meaningless. People on both sides now routinely lie to pollsters.

Even Frank Luntz came out and told Cavuto he didn’t believe the Fox poll. He wasn’t going to sully his reputation and that tells me he has a pretty good idea Moore is going to win, and win big, or it would have been a great opportunity for him to push for Jones.

Credibility of Fox News On the Line with Poll That Shows Jones Up by 10

____

I agree. The credibility of Fox News on this "Moore subject" AND the odd poll has a deep credibility gap for a number of reasons, including having Juan Williams continually pontificating on "The Five" about all types of sexual harassment. He seems like one of the wrong people to be doing that.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/10/21/AR2010102102009.html

Post reporter Williams apologizes for 'inappropriate' verbal conduct

Howard Kurtz

(snip) -- Washington Post Magazine reporter Juan Williams said yesterday that the newspaper has disciplined him for what he called "wrong" and "inappropriate" verbal conduct toward women staffers and he apologized to his colleagues.

(snip) -- Seven women said in on-the-record interviews yesterday that Williams had repeatedly made hostile and sexually explicit comments to them, in some cases over a period of several years. All of them said they believed the comments were meant to embarrass them, not an attempt to date them, and most said that Williams persisted despite their protests.

Jo Ellen Murphy, art director of the Weekend section, said that "he was obsessed with my sex life and that's all he wanted to talk to me about . . . . I raised my voice at him and said, 'Just don't talk to me again.' "

After Williams made some "hostile remarks" in late September, Murphy said, a male co-worker reported it to an editor, which triggered the personnel inquiry.

Nancy McKeon, the magazine's features editor, said she told Williams that "you've got a little problem here" after she complained about a sexual remark he made to her. Karen Tanaka, an assistant photo editor, said Williams had been "nothing but nasty to me." Deborah Needleman, the magazine's photo editor, said that when she objected to Williams's "demeaning" comments, he said: "What's wrong with a little flirting?"

We’re at the mercy of the truth since none of us individually know. Perhaps jones is way up and false polls have been pumping him up to make the defeat so much more worse?

Bad news about the judge staying the order to save all voting. I can only think of one reason to do that and it doesn’t look good.

Let’s hope that Roy Moore will soon be Senator Roy Moore.

Polls aren’t run on “credibility”.

They interview people, fudge some numbers (because statistics), and puts out a result.

It isn’t a government agency, nor are there any industry standards.

They will be way off, they will look foolish for a week, then they will do some more polls.

People in TV land give these things their importance. Polling outfits just thank you for the free publicity.
