That’s completely ignorant. The French Army has fought damned hard every time it has been used. It’s WWI performance was very strong. Stopped the Germans and basically held them to a 60 mile band the rest of the war.
WWII they fought very hard but the British fled the northern flank and the Germans simply had new tactics that worked well. In the 6 week battle for France they killed 27,074 Germans, wounded 111,034, and left the Germans with 18,384 missing. The French had 85,310 killed (including 5,400 Maghrebis), 12,000 missing, 120,000 wounded.
This crap about the French soldier being a coward is a not supported by any reality. For some reason the Brits never get the same treatment. They fled the battlefield at Dunkirk and them bravely running away is somehow a great military victory. Or maybe Singapore where they surrendered to a Japanese force one third it’s size, turning on it’s head the military standard of 3 to 1 being needed to assault a fortified position.
Tea drinking surrender monkeys.
New tactics (aka Polish breath mints)?
The Germans went around the Maginot line through the Benelux countries!
