Several people were injured Monday morning when a device exploded at the Port Authority bus terminal on 42nd Street, according to law enforcement sources.
One person is in custody after his device partially detonated inside a tunnel, sources told The Post.
Police and firefighters have responded to the scene, where the bomb squad also has been deployed.
The NYC Office of Emergency Management said commuters should expect delays.
There was no immediate word on what prompted the response between Eighth and Ninth avenues.

That’s the second time a terrorist tried to blow up people in NYC but failed because the bomb malfunctioned, yet the idiots in that city keep electing sanctuary city fanatics like Bloomberg and DeBlasio for Mayor, makes me wonder who is more suicidal: The terrorists or the voters.

What an odd choice of words. Tourists riding subways at rush hour? Not bloody likely. Why would a reporter say tourists? Because NYers would never be terrified?
A trivial point, to be sure, but journalists, man. They have more ways to cast suspicions on their reporting. Why say tourists? Seriously.
What numbskull describes in their published Title an “enormous” blast when it’s just a detonator cap or small pipe bomb?!
If this really was a stampeding herd of tourists, I have confirmation that tourists come to see famous spots are cattle. Having lived in many a famous spot and had a bellyful of tourists, this hardly surprises.
