“those who support him, we might need to question whether or not they’re decent.”

Lol, these Ivy League genuises just can't figure it out. And I might question whether or not this character is a complete ignoramus. Roy Moore has some loyal support in Alabama, but most who vote for him will be voting to keep a Dim from occupying the senate seat. It's not much more complicated than that,. no matter how much time Ivy League know-it-alls spend overanalyzing a pretty simply situation.

Would he say that about the people who kept sending Ted Kennedy to the Senate? Or Alcee Hastings back tot he House???

Silly question. Of course not.

If Roy Moore is a pedophile for dating a 14 year old, Mohammad is a pedophile for marrying a 6 year old. Can’t have it both ways.

Do you support Doug Jones? If so, I question whether you are a decent human being.

We have seen a number of ‘decent’ people in the past month who went to prestigious colleges & universities.

Charlie Rose—Matt Lauer—John Conyers—Harvey Weinstein—Dustin Hoffman—Hillary Clinton- Bill Clinton- Barack Obama-Michelle Obama-The LIST goes on & on & many others who are yet to be outed.

IF I had a kid—I would NEVER send it to a ‘Ivy League school. I would save like crazy & pay for the kid to go to Hillcrest College——& I would spend time making sure they had the grads to get in there.

The “Ivy League’ colleges & Universities have sorely disappointed the entire country,

In the same breath, they support rapist enabler Hillary who spent years and millions destroying innocent women. Spare me the lectures on decency.

A Black Yankee calling Alabamian's names.

That's really going to change opinions.

They had to cancel the re-enactment of the Civil War Battle of Fort Blakeley because no-one would volunteer to be Union Troops, Yankees.
(No kidding)

He was born in Mississippi, went to Morehouse College as an undergraduate, and has a master's degree and a Ph.D. (in Religion) from Princeton. He is a professor of Religion and of African American Studies. It isn't common for a major university to hire its own Ph.D.'s (but he did teach elsewhere first before returning to Princeton).

Since he specializes in African American religion, it's likely that the other candidates for his current position were also black, or most of them.

A real man would come down here and doubt us to our face. The last place I would look for confirmation of my morality is from a pack of lying, deceitful leftists.

I really don’t believe 40 year old charges that have not been confirmed from a highly questionable source. Real sexual predators don’t just quit. There is nothing recent in the allegations. Judge Moore has far more credibility than his accusers, who are backed by those who want to destroy the Constitution and move us to Marxism. It is obvious to me where the moral deficiencies lie, and it is not with Judge Moore.

Good Grief.

I read something the other day that said that 45% of students get straight “A” grades in their courses, where in 1970, only 10-15% did, IIRC.

I suppose having all these black, womens, hispanic, native American, homosexual younameit studies probably contribute to that in some way.

The 45% figure is probably for the more elite universities. After all, the students pay big bucks to attend.

I think the figure must be much lower at the public university where I teach. The problem is that students graduate from high school knowing much less than they should. A high school graduate of my parents' generation probably knew more in most subjects (apart from a few where there have been major discoveries in recent decades) than the typical college graduate of today. So college becomes remedial education to try to have 22-year-olds up to the standard they should have met at 18.

Tufts U gives an advanced degree in “Diversity and Inclusion”———that’s what’s become of higher education today.

It’s long past time for conservatives to no longer care about the opinions of Democrats, especially university Democrats.

I agree readily with that. As a teacher/professor, that must be very frustrating, to consider that in many cases, you are providing remedial education for college credit.

I don’t usually place the blame directly on many teachers or professors for this, but tend to assign responsibility to the administrative and cultural forces that force this trend.

I have heard that professors are rated by their students, and those ratings are meaningful in a variety of ways to the livelihood of the professors. If true, that just seems wrong.

Student evaluations of professors began in the late 1960s and grade inflation began about the same time. They are connected.

When George W. Bush's college transcripts were leaked to The New Yorker for a hit piece on him, he was ridiculed for his low grades--lots of C's (but also lots of B's). But he was a student at Yale in the 1960s before grade inflation while his critics were mostly younger, familiar with the easier grading of later years.
