Denmark will not follow the example of the United States and move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem following US president Donald Trumps controversial announcement on Wednesday, foreign minister Anders Samuelsen has confirmed.
Jerusalems status is one of the most sensitive areas in a peace agreement. The Danish government therefore believes that Jerusalems status should be a shared capital for two states, unless the two parts agree differently. That was our position before, and it still is, Samuelsen said in a written statement to news agency Ritzau.
The government has therefore no plans to move the Danish embassy, the minister added. [ ]
The right-wing Danish Peoples Party foreign policy spokesperson Søren Espersen said on Wednesday that his party was in favor of recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel as well as moving the Danish embassy.

Theresa May and Angela Merkel were quick to try to incite Muslims to riot after the President’s announcement.
So much so that one of those Mahometans was incited to try to stab May. Do red Tories ever learn?

A result of European politicians’ stated preference for Jerusalem to be divided, obviously to buy the radical Muslims more time to do what they really desire.
Oh finally. I was waiting to see what Denmark was gonna do.
Cheers to the “right-wing Danish Peoples Party,” by the way, for being willing to move their embassy.
Go right ahead, Denmark. Heck, have your embassy to Israel in Cairo or Zurich or Manila. No one cares.
Why the double standard with Israel?
Please make sense, Denmark. Jerusalem is the capital (divided or not) but you still want your embassy in Tel Aviv? Explain.
Jerusalem is not divided. There is no political control by the “Palestinians” over any part, or any border like with their Judenrein “territories”. It’s the “international community” that insists on dividing the currently-undivided Jerusalem.
Apparently, “sharing” Copenhagen with the Germans didn’t teach some of the Danes a thing.
I am no expert in geopolitics, but I "wish them well" with that /s.
Good luck getting a meeting with the most important politician in the world. And by the way, Denmark, what have you done for us lately?
I can say that because I am half Swedish and those countries are pacifists who rely on the U.S. to protect them. I may be wrong, but that is my impression.
The U.S. always bears the burden.
Denmark under the thumb of Muslims. Denmark, like most of the EU has open borders.
Really? I am waiting with baited breath, to see what Liechtenstein is going to do. 😂😊🙃
Ok...should I care where they have their embassy? I don’t care if they put it in Bethlehem...
Denmarks failing from socialism, PC and muzzie insurgents. They have no-go muzzie cities and high muzzie crime. They pay extreme taxes. Their men are neutered. Their advice is worthless.
Vikings no more.
