Maybe the Palestinians figured out that even if it did explode nobody would care. An adult showed up who ignores the child's temper tantrums.

Yup - the media's desire for some so-called "Day of Rage" was palpable and disgusting. They were just drooling for the chance to say that Trump had unleashed a catastrophe, their attempts to hype the lackluster response were hilarious, and their disappointment about the lack of explosions and murders was obvious.
The US news media has become a joke, impossible to take seriously.

In the past, the media breathlessly worried about the “Arab street.” They must be sooooooo disappointed now.

As I have posted before:
I think he just took away a high denomination chip wielded by the Pali/Arabs. He just reached out and took it. He will be taking more from their stack. If you dont sit down and play, your stack will be gone.

Everyone is missing it, it is Shale Oil and Gas.
They were using this as leverage to threaten the west and the protests were meant to push Arab leaders to use that leverage against the West.
It is gone! What’s the point now?

Saudi made the necessary political criticism of this action. This was simply rhetoric. Iran is the major threat to Israel and Saudi. Israel and Saudi need each other. They do cooperate with each other but it is Sub-Rosa.
Oddly, the center of Islam and Judaism are on the same side against Iran. However, neither side can say this publicly. We are living in strange times.

Not the “Arab Street” slogan-ing again! That’s when you know the MSM is trying to force us to let Hamas and they Muslim Brotherhood do whatever they want and be given out tax dollars for it to boot. Maybe it should be called the “Arab Footpath.”

A key line in this:
“Nor did it help the Palestinians that many of them sided with the Assad regime, alienating former partners from Amman to Beirut.”
You can always count on the Palestinians to choose so wisely /sarcasm.
The bastard stepchildren of the Middle East are now going to find it’s time to grow up and make do with what they have.
