We are watching our forests burn in regularity due to the same incompetence we are witnessing in the rest of the gummit. Just like the Federal Bureau of Incompetence the Forest Service and BLM are run by same liberal Marxists who would rather see our trees burn than be useed by homebuilders. These bureaucrats would rather worship the earth than use it the way God intended so we watch forest after forest go up in flames while the FBI is prosecuting a few protestors who wanted to raise cattle.
Marxists want to enslave all of us so they can marximize their own power and riches. The perfect examples are Soros and Hillary. They have done everything they could to take what is not theirs and sell it to the highest bidders. Soros launders his money through his money management schemes using bribes and favors to make some economies fail and others fail worse which makes him billions.
Hillary is a little less subtle since she uses the Clinton Family Laundry to take bribes for sells such as the Utah coal reserves she put under wraps for the Riady family to make their coal more valuable and of course selling Uranium to Putin. She did the same graft and bribes for the Saudis and most Middle East countries wanting weapons and troops which she came up with a number and they paid it. Of course she left her plenty of deniability and fall guys, but the billions came into her fund and were washed with the rest of the donations as if it were legitimate.
This scratchy-scratchy has been going on for decades it is just now there are established news organizations which are not part of the corruption exposing the layers of theft and lies. This all began with the forests when the Marxists wanted to destroy the housing industry and force Americans to live in housing projects like they do in Mother Russia. They believe man is the source of all evil and the more he lives like a peasant the better. They of course have the better lifestyle as members of the Inner Circle which takes care of the masses.
The first steps of the Marxist takeover of America began with the Spotted Owl scare. They were able to convince the masses that the Spotted Owl was being driven into extinction by the evil lumber industry from cutting too much old growth timber. They had some fake studies and surveys showing a decrease of owls and claimed using phony models they would be extinct in a decade or two which required massive gummit regulations and the ending of capitalism…er…logging.
The same people who came up with this phony theory became the managers of the forests using the full power and enforcement of the federal govt and forced the mills out of business by restrictions of logs and shipping them overseas. The dirty little secret was revealed a couple years ago by the discovery of the Horned Owl and Barn Owls into their territories hunting the same mice and in many cases hunting Spotted Owls. Now there is a bounty on the predatory owls while the mills remain empty and forests burn since it was not about the owls in the first place.
This was a Marxist dream since they were able to destroy a vibrant capitalistic industry while at the same time forcing Americans to pay twice for their homes than they should and forcing them into condos and town houses. They have since used the same tactic over and over for whichever industry they want to drive out of America. It was used for the oil industry with the Peak Oil scare as well as the coal power industry with the Acid Rain scare and has been followed with the Global Warming scare.
They believe in the old maxim you can fool some of the people all of the time and do. So they began with their destruction of the lumber industry and then repeated in bigger and bigger industries until we were nearly destroyed as a country during the Obama administration. If the Paris Accords had been passed, America would have had trillions taken out of the country as well as the complete destruction of the energy industry very similar to the lumber and homebuilding industries today. Like all supply and demand economies you lower the supply of lumber or energy making a higher the cost to the end user.
This is why Marxism has to be stopped. We have become slaves to it and accepted the norm which says you have to pay more than necessary for everything due to gummit restrictions and over regulation. The forests are the perfect example in that you have a twenty to thirty year crop growing on five hundred thousand square miles and are restricted from cutting any of it. The Federal gummit has all but eliminated the harvest of their forests in most of their areas and the mills are starved for supply of logs to make lumber for homes.
American lumber is the finest in the world for construction which is why China is shipping our logs by the shipload tens of thousands of logs at a time every day of the year. Only the Fed would come up with a plan which says if you own a sawmill you cannot export logs so huge landowners are now shipping to China rather than sending finished product putting Americans to work. To think there are over 20% unemployment in rural Oregon is like having that type of unemployment in an oil field in Texas.
We need to break this stranglehold on our forest communities. Rather than having deadly forest fires roaring through the West from neglected lands, we need to use those same trees to put Americans to work. Rather than forest fires we need to be turning those trees into lumber to drive the cost of building American homes down and give more young people a chance to own a home. Rather than watching those fires sweeping across the West we need to turn those trees into lumber to ship to China and the East to help ease our trade deficit we are plagued with. They have no other real alternatives to the ease and quality of Western lumber and is the envy of every other Country.
It is time to take the Federal boot off the Western states and enjoy the bounty of their natural resources.
It is time for these lands to be released and sold to private owners and let them properly manage and harvest these lands and forests in a responsible way. It is time to put out these fires and keep them from happening again. It is time for America to become proper stewards of the lands and forests rather than worshipers of them. It is time to make these forests work for the American people as well as the world market. It is time to make the forests great again to help Make America Great Again.

Brilliant and as good as it gets. Our forests have been savaged by regulators who refuse to clear the underbrush that provides ready fuel for many fires that other wise would not be nearly as devestating as they are. As bray said the hard left uses stats to achieve their goals whether its global warming or the destruction of the logging industry which no one knows more about than our own bray who is a member of the industry.
Despite this about the spotted owls, cutting old growth forests down is bad, particularly when over done. I'm pretty sure that if it wasn't regulated, US would have no old growth forests at all. So it's a mixed blessing. We don't like it, but know if left to their own conscience the environment would be wiped out in pursuit of the almighty dollar.

Well, prior to that, there was the assassination of JFK, followed by the Soviet-instigated "cultural revolution" of the sixties, with huge protests from black power, the counter-culture hippies, women's lib, "God is dead", the queer movement, plus Bill Ayers and the weathermen, Abbie Hoffman etc etc etc....
Then before that, the McCarthy hearings, rousting out Hollywood and public figures...and even before that...the good old Gray Lady.
Reagan destroyed the USSR, but they also destroyed American culture. Today half the voting public supports Marxism.
