There are three simple fixes for this problem;
Home school,
Private school,
Vouchers from the Education Department for each child.
The public school system can go to...
Sorry, it is already there.
Bingo! And bust the public pension fiasco. When teachers are no longer needed due to reduced attendance, fire their a$$e$. No union reps, no admin leave, etc., etc., etc.

(*) Sweet baby Jesus, NO!
Fixes:
- Remove any/all ‘auto’ payment for ‘public schools’ (aka property taxes)
- 1st person pay: say for 1/2 school year, or full, at day 1 from parent(s)\guardian(s)
- Expulsion w/ no ‘refund’. Make discipline ‘HURT’
- Stream/video all classrooms/halls, to ensure quality\punishment.
Once parent(s)\guardian(s) are writing the checks, ya damn skippy they’re going to worry about 1) quality 2) outcome 3) content and 4) discipline.
And, when ‘schools’ need to worry about the $$\kids, they will worry about the same (student AND teacher alike).
As per unions, there should be no, none, zero, nada ‘public sector’ unions.
We need to get as FAR away from ‘public education’ as possible. Like anything else sold to the public by govt, it was bait and switch from the get go; never altruistic.
