Common Core is a travesty. The State of Texas has forbidden its use in the public schools, but it still comes in through the side door in the form of reference materials that get passed out to kids by clueless liberal teachers. I despise it and make a stink when I see it.
I am a teacher in the south & even though Common Core is gone it’s really not. I don’t deal w/ it due to the fact that I have a self contained special needs room. It focuses on reading for content, but in a way that seems to kill the joy of reading for pleasure. And the math is a disaster.
And let’s see.......Bill Gates a big person involved & what do you know, all the tests are on.........COMPUTERS!!!!
The whole thing is a shell game w/ the kids the losers.
