It's been ten months since Washington learned that former British spy Christopher Steele, author of the so-called "Trump dossier," took the Hillary Clinton-funded opposition research document to the FBI, which considered sponsoring the anti-Trump work at the height of the 2016 presidential campaign. Now, congressional investigators have made what is perhaps an even more consequential discovery: Knowledge of the dossier project, during the campaign, extended into the highest levels of the Obama Justice Department.
The department's Bruce Ohr, a career official, served as associate deputy attorney general at the time of the campaign. That placed him just below the deputy attorney general, Sally Yates, who ran the day-to-day operations of the department. In 2016, Ohr's office was just steps away from Yates, who was later fired for defying President Trump's initial travel ban executive order and still later became a prominent anti-Trump voice upon leaving the Justice Department.

These are not mutually exclusive events. It sounds like the dossier gang first tried to push the dirty dossier directly into high levels of the Dept of Justice and FBI during the election campaign. They also shopped it hard to the MSM, but since corroboration was lacking the MSM resisted using it during the election campaign. When Trump was elected in spite of their efforts, McVain was recruited (after the election) to hand the dossier directly to Comey.
Once Comey had received the dossier directly from such a senior Republican in Congress, he carried out the charade of “briefing” POTUS-elect Trump, which in turn gave the Mediascum the pretext for “reporting” on the dossier — because it was supposedly significant enough that the Director of the FBI had briefed the POTUS-elect.
They spent many months trying to put the dossier into circulation, and McVain’s move was just one part of all that, to give it added attention and “credibility”....
My point...Why didn’t York mention McCain?
They were crooked with J Edgar, and they gave the Clintoon's the FBI files on the potential Clinton enemies.
Top FBI thugs/directors have been part of the Clintoon Protection Package/Racket since Mulehead was FBI director.
That Clinton protection job was passed on to Comey.

I think long before this the FBI had the fake* dossier and took it to the FISA court as evidence of Trump/Russia collusion in light of the “claim” that the Russians hacked the DNC emails.
THAT was in June of 2016, BEFORE McCain got a look at it.
*The smoking gun is they knew it was fake at that time. They’ll face justice for this alone. Who they will be is a matter for further investigation by itself.
My not so humble opinion is they’ll try to blame JUST Strzok and Ohr. The real conspirators Start with Obama and Jarret, with Clapper and Brennan for the assist. Comey, too.
