Micro Waves are dangerous.
I know some retired ATT techs that used to work aloft on MW antennas back in the Long Line days and they would say sometimes they felt like their blood was boiling.

One of them was a MW tech while in the CG b4 ATT and he recently died from a very strange type of brain cancer and swore till the end it was from MW

Most old microwave/radar systems had a lot of RF leakage around junctions in their waveguides. We used to tape a small neon bulb to a long plastic rod and move it around the junctions. Whenever the bulb lit up we knew we found a leak. When the neon bulb lit up like a flashbulb, we knew we had a real problem.

It was also very easy to cook a hot dog when you tie a string to it and hold it in front of the feedhorn on a radar set. Way before any microwave ovens.
