The Trump administration on Wednesday asked the Supreme Court to overrule a 40-year-old precedent that allows states to require public employees to pay fees to unions that represent them, an important tool for the American labor movement.

Its almost like he thinks itll get buried in all the hoopla over Israel vs the Arabs on the West Bank and in Gaza.
Cowboys can do that once...
LOL
Regulation of Interstate Commerce trumps the 10th amendment so it is clearly a federal issue.
The reason we have a constitution at all was to weaken the powers of the States and increase the power of the federal government. The period of state power was a disaster.
The Commerce Clause which the Left has misused to the point of basically unconstitutional limitless government, was originally intended for the limited purpose of removing hindrances to commerce between states. States’ support of unions doesn’t fit in that category.
Quit helping the Left turn our Free Constitutional Republic into a third-world dictatorship.
Constitutional state sovereignty is not the issue today and you know it, and your disdain for constitutional state sovereignty doesn’t trump the Ninth and Tenth Amendments.
The extreme limitless tyranny of the mostly unconstitutional federal government is the greatest threat to our country politically, economically, and socially.
Quit helping the Left destroy our Free Constitutional Republic.
This guy take on all comers doesnt he.
Wow.
Hes a beast! Love it!
Yep. And having never seen any person like this in politics before, I fear we may never see one again. So, we desperately need him in there still making decisions in the first half of January 2025.
Pence, you have at most a little over seven years to study and learn to copy everything your master does.
I hear ya. Good call.
I had hoped his V.P., whoever it was, would study his economics and other abilities and outlooks.
This is something I’ve thought of, and I know it’s going to sound like a put-down.
I like Pence, but I wonder if he has it in him to be a guy who fights like Trump does.
Trump is an extraordinary street scrapper.
My statement is completely correct.
Argue with the Supreme Court not one speaking the truth.
States have basically given their sovereignty to the federal government on almost all difficult or controversial issues.
They have not had the feds seize them. This has all been done with public approval.
I’m talking about the Supreme Rule of Law of the Constitution which secures our freedoms, not the freaking tyranny of the whims of the Rule of Man or “public approval”.
When the Constitution can interpret itself, get back to me.
Intrepret?
Actually I never quite understood that. It's written pretty clearly. People just need to learn the English language.
You apply the law (in this case, the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended) to the facts at hand.
When you have some vague idea of what that means, get back to me.
That is rather naive, at best. As with the Bible the simple language dresses out immense complexities. That is the reason we have thousands of explanations as to what both means.
What may seem obvious is anything but.
There is no real knowledge as to what the Constitution meant to that generation.
Do you seriously claim that Jefferson and Hamilton had the same intent for and the same understanding of what the document was intended to do?
There was no perceived unity of thought as to its meaning and it was ratified by the skin of its teeth (largely because of Hamilton.)
Given that there was no unity of opinion and only because of a minority was it adopted at all.
Those opposed were as large a proportion as large as those Pro.
I suppose those who know all, can lead us through its puzzles.
Yeah, I know, I'm stupid.
As with the Bible the simple language dresses out immense complexities.
This ain't the Bible, nor is it rocket science.
That is the reason we have thousands of explanations as to what both means. What may seem obvious is anything but.
That sounds like RAT-speak to me.
It says what it says. The spelling might be a little whacked, but it says what it means and it means what it says.
And if that's not clear enough, you can go read the Federalist Papers and get more clarity. Only the RATs could "interpret" (lie) ABORTION out of the "penumbra" of the Fourth Amendment.
Remember:
Interpret = Lie
Where does the Constitution authorize the feds to interfere with state union laws?
Whether you approve or not, the interstate commerce clause gives the authority.
