San Antonio Police Department Sgt. Robert Perez said the teens, ages 14 and 15, met two men in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 8500 block of Ahern Drive, across the street from North Star Mall. The teens had met the seller using Offerup, a smartphone application used to buy and sell items, and arranged to buy the necklace, police said. Police said it appeared that the teens tried to steal a necklace that they had agreed to buy over an app and the seller's passenger shot them. Perez said. Theres no reason to meet in a secluded area where its dark. Youre just taking your own safety at risk.
