WASHINGTON (AP) — Facing growing demands for him to resign, Minnesota Sen. Al Franken will make an announcement on Thursday.

That's the word from the Democrat's office on Wednesday.

Franken's support among his fellow Democrats is collapsing as a host of female Democratic senators called upon him to quit.

Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Patty Murray, D-Wash., Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., all called on Franken to step down.

It’s not just the ratio either - on the (R) side, they ALL seem to happen just weeks away from an election...and the stories fall apart almost immediately.

All the Dems have achieved is distrust of accusations just ahead of elections. It’s become a joke, part of their standard playbook, “oh, we’re a month away, turn the crank, what is next? Oh, it’s time to roll out the sexual accusers!”. Rinse, repeat. It’s disgusting as it de-legitimizes actual victims, so no surprise Dems do it. Their virtues are so fake. Their response, when people no longer listen, will be to make up ever-more outrageous accusations. ...they’ve imploded and don’t realize it.

Ellison would be a foolish choice for Dayton to appoint because he wouldnt be able to hold on to the seat. Ellison gets elected because his district had a large muzzie population. He couldnt win statewide.

If Ventura and Franken can win state-wide elections, then so can Ellison.

For the Dems Franken must resign. Having Franken in the Senate negates any and all attacks on Moore and the Pres. for supporting him. With Franken leaving Dems can reclaim high ground and say that they remove their pervs. This could give enough Alabamans pause and see them vote for Jones or stay home. Franken’s departure costs nothing as he is replaced by an even more progressivve Dem. Moore’s defeat costs the GOO a seat and with Collins, Flake, and Corker maybe the majority. If the Clintons were still in charge Franken might already be room temperature.

Would he gain any traction tomorrow by admitting he’s gay?

After all the fraud and crime his supporters committed to find enough votes to “elect” him....

Hope you’re right. I tend to agree with your analysis.

But there’s one thing I know from years of following politics.

Just when you think the RATS can’t get any lower, they come up with some new scam.

These Franken and Conyers “scandals” — why only them?

Considering the Left’s penchant for promiscuity, I would think that the entire RAT caucus is tainted to some degree or other.
