Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein has written to President Trump, urging him not to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel or to announce he is moving the U.S. Embassy to the city.
Exactly six months ago Tuesday, the senior senator from California voted in favor of a resolution commemorating the 50th anniversary of Israel’s reunification of Jerusalem, and calling on the president to “abide by” the provisions of the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Act.
That 1995 legislation said Jerusalem should be recognized as Israel’s capital, and required the president to move the embassy from Tel Aviv by May 31, 1999. Feinstein, the eighth-longest serving senator, voted in favor of it on Oct. 24, 1995.
The legislation has been periodically waived ever since by Presidents Clinton, George W. Bush, Obama and — last June — Trump.
In her Dec. 1 letter to the president, which she drew attention to on her Twitter feed on Tuesday, Feinstein said that recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital “would spark violence, further alienate the United States and undermine the prospects of a two-state solution.” …

Some of the articles mentioned that every Republican president (and maybe some Dems too) has promised to move the embassy, but never bothered getting around to doing so. But NEVER any criticism of them for BREAKING THEIR PROMISE.

Vascilating and avoiding confrontation in favor of half measures and appeasement is the most confusing and cruel way to deal with an adversary. Nice to turn that trend around.

Feinstein learned one thing early in her federal government career. The less you say they smarter you’ll seem.
Trump is keeping the deep state in a persistent state of agitation. Maybe they should reconsider their Russia investigation before Trump does more that the U.S promised to do but never followed through.

So much media angst today about “Trump’s Plan” to recognize Jerusalem the capital of Israel by moving U.S. embassy there.
Media want to blame POTUS when violence erupts at hands of Hamas and other Arab terrorists. Hopefully POTUS will clairy via Tweet or otherwise that this isn’t his plan. He is simply following through with what congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act back in 1995 (passed 374-37 in house and 93-5 in senate) but no president since has had the guts to actually implement.

This announcement is being delayed. Imagine Trump is being inundated by State and Defense officials warning him that Americans who are in Muslim lands will be at grave personal risk when the formal announcement is made. Imagine he is reflecting.
This is similar to the GOP voting in favor of rescinding Obamacare when Obama would veto it, but letting their true feelings show when the vote truly matters.
For the GOP they considered their show votes to be “boob bait for bubbas”. Does DiFi consider hers to have been “boob bait for Yentas”?
Maybe she is using Reverse Psychology. In hopes it will get done. But showing publicly not for it.
