Judicial Watch today released two productions (335 pages and 44 pages) of Justice Department (DOJ) documents showing strong support by top DOJ officials for former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates refusal to enforce President Trumps Middle East travel ban executive order. In one email, Andrew Weissmann, one of Robert Muellers top prosecutors and formerly the Obama-era Chief of the Justice Departments Criminal Fraud Section, applauds Yates writing: I am so proud. And in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respects.
Judicial Watch obtained the documents through a May 2017 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the Justice Department failed to respond to a February FOIA request seeking Yates emails from her government account (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:17-cv-00832)) for the time period she served as Acting Attorney General for President Trump.
The emails, several sent from official Justice Department email addresses, show strong support for Yates, who was fired for disobeying a direct order from the President:
Thomas Delahanty, then the United States Attorney for Maine wrote: You are my hero.
Liz Aloi, a career service employee and Chief of the Justice Departments Special Financial Investigations Unit told Yates she was Inspirational and heroic.
Emily Gray Rice, then the U.S. Attorney for New Hampshire and an Obama appointee said: AAG Yates, thank you, as always, for making us proud. It is truly an honor to work for you.
Obama appointee Barbara McQuade, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan told Yates, Thank you for your courage and leadership. This is wonderful news.

Yates was inspirational and WRONG. It wasn’t her call.
Drain the Swamp!
Heads should roll - or at least be reassigned off political cases, such as Mueller’s witch hunt.
Fire them all.
Democrats are Democrats first.
Being an American is way down on their list.
I imagine it’s pretty hard to find a guillotine in working order.
We’ll just have to go down to the rental yard and rent a wood chipper.
Oughtta work.
Why is this a surprise to anyone? This was a couple of days after Trump’s inauguration, so the entire DOJ was full of Obama’s people. Of COURSE they’d be supportive of Yates.
Sedition.
Pure and simple.
Rope and tree.
5.56mm
Almost 400 PAGES of documents of government employees lauding the DOJ’s refusal?
That tells me that there are HUNDREDS of unnecessary employees in that department, alone.
What a waste of our money.
Surely if one cannot fire these people, they could be reassigned to areas with no staff, eliminate their information access and only low-grade make work where they can do no harm, bad personnel reviews eliminating changes of promotion and raises. Keep a very close eye on them and fire them for cause at first opportunity.
I just don’t understand leaving these people in power positions with access to information.
Is it me, or shouldn't these people immediately be shown the door? They don't have that option.
If any of these statements were made on the job, these people should be immediately dismissed.
And it sounds like they were made on the job.
If Jeff Sessions was still alive, these people would be looking for a new job today.
The marxist muslim revolution led by BO embedded many a player so it did not matter who the next president was.... the infrastructure was there with it’s own agenda.
What has to be done is to discharge the appointees and set them up for the treason tribunals to go hand in hand with the Obama-Clinton administration treason tribunals.
Get rid of these traitors. Why is the Trump admin. allowing them to be there?
If they’re Civil Service career types, demote them or transfer them out, perhaps something like running a wx station at the North Pole. If they’re in appointed positions, terminate them.
The bush, clinton, & obama holders are in #resist mode.
The tweets by yates, holder, etc. telling their apparatchiks in the DOJ to ‘hold the line’ is beyond the pale.
As a wise man once said 2 years ago, we need Nuremberg-style treason trials and hangings on the national mall.
This must be some more of Sessions’ 4D chess.
I don’t know what has happened to him, but he is clearly not suited to the job. I think he should go.
slow going but...
Sally Yates = Gone.
Barbara McQuade = Gone.
Emily Gray Rice = Gone.
Thomas Delahanty = Gone.
Andrew Weissmann = on leave from DOJ ( probably wont be back )
Liz Aloi = Soon to be wished into the cornfield.
The rebellion started day one the talking is just being revealed.
