Theres a story we often tell ourselves in California a story about a state that is home to a uniquely diverse population and where everyone is welcome and has an opportunity to succeed.
Its an affirming and reassuring story for Californians, particularly at a time when our national politics have been hijacked by divisiveness and discord. It is a point of pride to embrace our leadership of the resistance to that rising tide of hate.

Which would have resulted in there being more resources available for legal California residents.

I agree. our politics were hijacked by divisiveness and discord in November 2008.
I do NOT miss living in CA one tiny bit - except MAYBE for the weather.
But then, 72 and Sunny every. damn. day. gets old for those of us that love Four Distinct Seasons. (Great gig for a Weatherman!)
I lived there from 1980-1982. I lived in Imperial Beach, pretty much 20 feet from Tiquana, MX. Even the illegals didn’t want to live where I lived back then, LOL!
My birds would even do their business on the pages of this rag.
would even = wouldn’t even
Oops! ‘Tijuana.’
Their goal is to use the power of the state to ensure outcomes of every aspect of life and society are equal, by race.

In the long run the ONLY way to achieve that objective is to kill all the white people.
She. Keep lived in California I knew many blacks that blamed the illegals for taking their jobs and opportunities, and I believe rightly so.
I wonder if these crack reporters understand that to be “diverse” means to be “divided” and divisiveness is the Natural byproduct of DIVERSITY???
Everybody is welcomed except Conservatives and Constitutionalists.
Meanwhile, the state is being driven into the ground with debt and bad management.
Many people are leaving this beautiful state because of the racial communists.
But I was born and raised here.
And I’ll stay and fight them to my last breath.
For the non-elite of Californicate, it’s golden only if you like being urinated on!!!!
I was raised there...I still want a second home there...
for the smell of the orange blossoms, the sun on your face, the sound of the waves...the ocean you that isn’t too cold.
I miss it so much.
God speed.
We can be the Golden State again if we’re ever cured of the Brown Rot disease.
How is that going for you?
Born and lived there most of 59 years, until bailing out. The firearms laws were already becoming insane and illegals everywhere.
11+ years away now, and I have to laugh at the death spiral the state is in, and seems to revel in it.
I’m in the valley so it’s not as bad as some other places.
And NOBODY pays any attention to the gun laws.
But somebody has to stay and fight. This place is worth fighting for. It’s the most beautiful, richest cut of land in the world.
That is undeniable.
“So even as enormous wealth was created, the people benefiting from Californias prosperity were overwhelmingly white and already rich”
I benefited by putting myself through college and working six days a week for the last 40 years. Still working and will continue to do so. Being white has nothing to do with it.
“Many people are leaving this beautiful state because of the racial communists.
But I was born and raised here.
And Ill stay and fight them to my last breath.”
More power to you. I lived in California for 50 years and left for Oregon 2 years ago. The fight was overwhelming and draining my energy. Wished I had left sooner. Good Luck to you friend.
