Newport is also the home of the Navy’s most prestigious educational institution, the Naval War College. As the oldest such institution in continuous existence anywhere in the world, the college is organized to pursue and integrate both academic and research endeavors. Each year approximately 600 outstanding mid-career level officers of the Navy, all other U.S. services, civilian federal agencies and international naval officers come here to pursue a rigorous 10-month course of postgraduate studies.

Officer Training Command Newport (OTCN) is the largest officer accessions point in the Navy with a mission to prepare Sailors and Marines through enduring professional and personal development to lead as officers in the fleet. I figured since you’d made arrangements with the ambulance service, they’d have moved her around on a gurney. Easier than trying to move her around in a wheelchair.
Either way, getting her out in the wet and cold didn’t sound too good. If the wind gets as bad as it is here, there’s no way to stay warm. It’s gotten stronger tonight than it was today and is really whipping now.

Holli and Sophie were pretty quiet on the way to the vet, unlike Willow and Lorien last week. Those two wailed the entire half-hour ride. It was a quiet ride today. I guess the other two didn’t tell them any horror stories. :-)

You did all you could, and she knows that.
It’s in her heart!

*sigh*
You know I love Tigermaus with all my heart but tonight he REALLY screwed up.
I have a dry goods hutch in the kitchen.
On top of it are (were) two cookie jars.
One was a pretty hen, the other was a magnificent rooster
done in beautiful detail that came from France.
Can you guess what happened?

We will continue to do everything possible to make her comfortable and to keep her happy. I just hope she’s not so unsettled tonight.

(((hugs)))

I’m just glad we don’t need to take her. It was a cardiologist and I doubt that he could do much to improve the problem she has, which is getting older.

I hope it doesn’t get too nasty there. Hate for you to have to drive if there might be slick spots. The rain will be nice, though, once you get the little galz back home and can stay in for a bit.

Well, until it’s time to go to the museum, that is. Hope the place has a good heater!

No problem at all guessing what happened. :-(

One thing when we have cats in the house - - never have anything nice out where they can get to them. If they can reach a spot by jumping, don’t put anything nice there.

Everything nice we have is boxed up and put away.

People child-proof their homes when they have kids. We have to kitteh-proof ours. :-)

No, he probably can’t do a thing at this point but tell you if there are any changes. Not worth trying to get her out in crummy weather for that.

It won’t get cold enough tomorrow to worry about slick spots on the highway. Just a drag having to get out in it, that’s all. We do need the rain so let it come! LOL! It’s moving into TN now.

I’ll dress in layers Wed. The museum has decent heat but they probably won’t have it turned up very high since it won’t be open to the public. Not sure what to expect.

It took me years to find the perfect rooster cookie jar.
I have all the pieces in a box
He’s worse off than Humpty Dumpty.
(Well. his head is intact).
Tigermaus did this while I was at work..

Mr B and the kitteh had a little....Chat.

I know he didn’t mean it, but I’m heartbroken.
“We have to kitteh-proof ours. :-)”
Like wise!

I keep thinking I hear the wind picking up outside. May be the start of the cool-down here, too. Tomorrow night is when it is supposed to really get actually cold.

I guess I’d better go. Hoping to get some sleep while Dulcie is quiet. We have morphine to give her if she gets truly agitated like she was last night, but I am hesitant to start that process. But we also don’t want her to hurt. It’s a lot of not-so-great choices to make.

See you for the quiz tomorrow night? Nite!

They never mean to do it but it happens. That’s why we don’t have anything nice, or that we like a lot, set out where they can get to it.

It’s also why we don’t put up a Christmas tree or have any decorations sitting around. Garlands over doorways and such are what we’re limited to with so many cats. But it’s the choice we made because we love our kittehs.

I hope you’re able to your cookie jar back together.

Heck, it’s still 60 degrees here. It won’t cool down until after the rain gets here later this morning. The wind is getting sucked into the front from the south now and will be out of the north by tomorrow evening. That’s why I did the grocery shopping tonight. It’ll be miserable outside.
Just hope it dies down by Wed. morning. The wind really rips across the top of the mountain. brrr!

I hope Dulcie stays quiet and all of you are able to get a good night’s sleep. Catch ya tomorrow evening.
