President Trump Overrules Deputy, Deflates U.N.’s Pro-Immigration Treaty
Breitbart ^ | December 3, 2017 | NEIL MUNRO

Posted on 12/04/2017 5:37:15 AM PST by bobsunshine

President Donald Trump overruled objections by his United Nations ambassador when he directed the U.S. leave the “Global Compact on Migration” treaty, which is intended to promote mass-migration into countries regardless of national laws and voters’ preferences. U.N.. Ambassador Nikki Haley wanted the United States to stay in the pro-migration treaty which is being advanced by a multinational conference in Mexico on Monday, December 4. But according to Foreignpolicy.com,

"White House chief of staff John Kelly, who previously led the Department of Homeland Security’s crackdown on illegal immigrants, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions strongly backed a pullout, according to diplomatic sources familiar with the deliberations. The State Department initially opposed the withdrawal, but its policy planning chief, Brian Hook, who represented Secretary of State Rex Tillerson at the principals’ meeting, reversed course and recommended ditching the negotiations.

The meeting ended in deadlock, with Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, expressing the lone dissent. Haley had argued that the United States would have a better shot at influencing the outcome of the negotiations if it participated in the process.

She was ultimately overruled by the president, according to diplomatic sources."

Nikki needs to keep staring Kim Jong Un in the face. Never mind mass migration Nikki.

Why should we approve of demographic warfare against our own country. We have had enough of that from the magic negro admnistration.

Good we got out, now the initiative will have ZERO money from the USA.And it will therefore fail.

We KEEP WINNING!

It's MAGA:

US Ambassador Nikki Haley said the country would continue its "generosity" in supporting migrants and refugees around the world, but that "our decisions on immigration policies must always be made by Americans and Americans alone."

"We will decide how best to control our borders and who will be allowed to enter our country. The global approach in the New York Declaration is simply not compatible with US sovereignty.

“Global Compact on Migration”

We are America. Global Compacts are for losers, to benefit losers.

“The TPP treaty would have allowed companies to export U.S.-based factories to low-wage countries around the Pacific, and also to import low-wage employees from the Pacific rim into workplaces around the United States.”

Remember, this is what McConnell and Ryan and the Congressional Republicans were pushing for under the guise of “we love trade”.

Exactly . they sold out the US to Corp interests across the board.

But all of them were bought off !
TPP was treason at its height .
Saint Ted Cruz who help ram it thru and wrote a phony WSJ column along with Ryan on this treason .
it was a frightening matter .

Dear Nikki Haley: Please don’t make the mistake of ridiculing or belittling Trump’s decision or leak any problematic details.

Continue on as Loyals as you have and you have a good shot at higher more prominent positions.

Nikki Haley is a globalist RINO.
We do not want her in any higher, more prominent positions.
And she is ineligible to be President.

I am not here to defend Haley, but the statement was that "Haley had argued that the United States would have a better shot at influencing the outcome of the negotiations if it participated in the process."

Now in or out of a process is different than in or out of the final outcome, and I am not a big fan of process. But, process is what Ambassadors do since outcomes are determined by the President advised by the NSC principals [e.g. SecState, SecDef], and if a treaty, affirmed by the Senate.

“Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, expressing the lone dissent. Haley had argued that the United States would have a better shot at influencing the outcome of the negotiations if it participated in the process.”

She’s been pretty good, up to now, but her position on this was naive.

With Obama already officially signed onto the convention, Trump had no choice, because no matter the outcome of the conference, the U.S. was already an official participant in the convention and has no veto in meetings of the convention participants.

That is how so many of these things are done via the U.N. A “convention” is agreed to and governments become its official participants. But the convention is approved with innocuous sounding high-minded language, but details to be worked out later. Then the conference bodies decisions are not conducted by consensus and the U.S. has no veto. So the U.S. is signing onto a high minded pig in a poke, committing itself to who knows what exactly.

Trump had no choice, it was a U.N. convention formulated to produce results the U.S. would have to live with, like it or not.

“The State Department initially opposed the withdrawal, but its policy planning chief, Brian Hook, who represented Secretary of State Rex Tillerson at the principals’ meeting, reversed course and recommended ditching the negotiations.”

I have no problem with subordinates arguing their position. Better to have a thorough discussion of matters so President Trump hears all sides of the question. That is part of the reason he hired them.

“The meeting ended in deadlock, with Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, expressing the lone dissent. Haley had argued that the United States would have a better shot at influencing the outcome of the negotiations if it participated in the process.”

Having ONE dissenting voice is not deadlock. Who writes this stuff?

To her credit Ambassador Haley did go out and deliver a short and decisive statement that was fully in step with her boss’s decision.
