Thanks very much, Kathy and Star !

***HUGS***

The Berlin Airlift has always inspired me. I remember reading about it in my history books in elementary school. This was in the late 50’s and the books rendered an accurate and positive account of the operation. These days, it’s probably not even mentioned in the history books used to indoctrinate our children into the Socialist collective.

The Berlin Airlift illustrates all that is good in America. Our Air Force boys faced constant peril on the run to and from Berlin, not only due to difficult landing conditions at the Berlin airports, but due to persistent harassment from Soviet fighters while flying through the corridors.

The exploits of and generosity shown by members of the American Armed Forces during the Berlin Airlift make me proud to be an American. Every one of the brave pilots, crew and support staff who took part in this operation merit admission to our Hall of Heroes!
