My Great Grandfather was a Polish Jew Carpenter in the Russian Imperial army, really! I’m confirmed, educated, and believe as an old style Lutheran. I would recognize Jerusalem as the capital in a second and kick all the Moslem butts out.
Israelis Jews are a lot more accommodating than I would be.
Let me see, Polish Jew blood, German Christian religion, and American culture, I may view Moslem’s claim over Jerusalem with a Jaundiced eye.

I believe you about your Grandfather having learned of the many Polish and Russian Jews who were imprisoned in the Holocaust. The history of some of them is fascinating. You on the other hand seemed to have touched all bases!
