This issue will never go away as long as the U.S. exists as a nation. Eventually the number of people who want to know the truth will outnumber (and have more influence) than those who care enough to bother defending 0blahblah and the coverup.
Oy. His citizenship issue was way simpler and yet more serious than where his parents had citizenship or him having been a child in Indonesia. Sheesh. He never had USA citizenship because
A) he was born in Canada to a teen mom too young to confer USA citizenship on him, was supposed to be given up for adoption in Canada but she kept him at the last minute.
B) it apparently was not important enough to his mother to naturalize him.
Either way, he was wholly ineligible to run for the Presidency.
Which is why the senate debate in Illinois between him and Alan Keyes was scrubbed from the internet. Early in the primary in 07-08, I saw it right here on FR. Keyes and Obama were sitting at the same table. Keyes at one point says to Obama, “You weren’t even born in this counTry!” And Obama answers, “We are talking about the senate here, not the presidency!”
He won that election and was at some point handed a ceremonial US Passport to use on senate trips.
"Born in the United States"? Has that ever been considered a requirement provided both parents were US citizens? What if they were vacationing in Canada when the child was born, or serving as diplomats?
I think the only President before Soetoro whose eligibility was seriously questioned was Chester Alan Arthur--reportedly born in Vermont but some claimed he had been born a few miles to the north in Quebec, and his father was not a US citizen at the time of his birth. But it was generally accepted that he had been born in Vermont (before it became a People's Republic).
We had the ‘58 Worldbook. It was a classic.
The law notwithstanding, the phony document Obama disseminated was fake as a three-dollar bill. Anyone with working knowledge of Adobe figured it out in one minute.

It does not matter if he was born in Hawaii if his father was a foreign national.
Children of foreign nationals inherit the nationality of their foreign national parent(s).
Natural born citizen means born here of citizen parents.
No other possible citizenship(s).
Only when one cannot be anything else can one be a natural born citizen.

The most blatant - and ignorant - error of the fake BC - LOOK at it- is the race of his father, born in Kenya. For race, it says “African.”
“Africa” is not a RACED - it’s a country. People of all races, including white, are born in Africa.
And in 1961, the race would not even be listed as ‘black’ but ‘negro’ - but there if “African” race.
I would think this would be very telling in a court of law.
