That was in Villa Park, a suburb about a dozen miles west of Chicago. About 1972, my
late brother & I were insulating pipes in the new jail there, above the drop ceiling. My
brother left a pack of smokes up there above one of the cells, as a small act of charity for
some nicotine-craving Otis there having slept off a bender.
