The FBI did wiretap a few calls between Flynn and the Russians but there was only very minimal incrimination.
... and illegal as they were based on false information (provided by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

“Why continue to talk about the Logan Act?
Obviously its muddy water, the only two prosecutions never went to trial.”
You’re the one that initially brought up Logan!
Please go away.

Then, Flynn lied to the FBI about those contacts, another crime.I'd like to see the full context of both the questions and answers that the FBI is calling "lies". Blindly believing what the FBI said would have put Richard Jewel in prison. They are proven documented liars.

Liberal logic - an illegal alien shoots and kills a young woman and is found “not guilty” and could walk. A decorated Marine General makes contact with a Russian during the transition and he may go to prison. I guess it works for Liberals /s

Thats not what the Logan Act says. You seem to be going contrary to a lot of Constitutional scholars who have been saying all day that there was nothing wrong with that. What are your credentials?

Concern for violation of the Logan Act, IMHO, is the only logical reason for Flynn to lie to the FBI.
That’s it’s only real usefulness in this discussion.

Logan Act
Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply, himself or his agent, to any foreign government or the agents thereof for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects. (June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 744; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(K), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2147.)
would the president- elect be without authority of the United States, as he is getting intelligence briefings ?
I suppose we first need a definition of authority.
Didn't Flynn get the Russians to agree to change their U.N. tactics and wouldn't that be in the interest of the U.S. ?
Course, the Logan Act reads as if the influence is regardless of outcome.
I'm guessing Mueller et al, will be staying away from the Logan Act.

Tell Mueller whatever he wants to hear, whether it’s true or not.
Would Robert Mueller suborn perjury? Absolutely!

The turn of the screw... Mueller will line up the ducks, guilty or not, and pound them into submission through intimidation and financial ruin. The DEEP STATE is fighting back and only a political civil war will stem the tide of persecution.

I also saw reported somewhere that Flynn somehow has to testify, per the plea agreement, to give testimony or evidence that leads to a "successful prosecution", an outcome that he couldn't possibly guarantee and actually does not appear in his plea agreement.
Suppositions abound.

There are a couple schools of thoughts here. Either Sessions and company are not doing their job -- or there's a grander strategy here.
I agree with people like Bill Mitchell of Your Voice America that the indictments of Hillary and others will happen at an opportune time next year so we can get maximum election leverage over showing the evil of Hillary and her minions.
Trump is a strategic planner who is very patient. It took him 4 years to get approvals to build the Trump Tower in Chicago... but he ultimately delivered.

And...no one could prove it was perjury! FBI testimony is always the gospel truth.

Im starting to think that the FBI has too much authority. Imagine the howls if the tables were turned and the Trump executive branch was investigating Democrat members of Congress, with the legal authority to imprison any one of them who misspoke in the least regardless of whether or not they were ever charged with anything legally actionable.
To: Cannoneer
Trump needs to to go nuclear. Sooner the better.

That issue regards Inovo BV a Dutch company that turned out to be a shell corporation for a wealthy member of the Turkish government. Flynn worked for Turkey and was paid at least $530,000.
Ya got to register as a foreign agent..........
