Arkansas political observers were surprised to read Thursday that Republican Sen. Tom Cotton may become CIA director in a Trump administration shakeup, but names already are circulating for potential appointees to replace him in the Senate.
Among those under discussion is White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, the daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
“I would support Sarah in a New York minute!” former U.S. Rep. Tommy Robinson, an Arkansas Democrat turned Republican, told the Washington Examiner.

Tom Cotton is one of the few Senators on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
We cannot spare him from the Senate.

The Senate voted 99-1 to pass the Corker Amendment in order to secure the Iran deal. The ONLY Senator to stand up for America in this vote was Tom Cotton. Good man.
Oh, absolutely. It would be great if Mike Huckabee moved on up into the Senate. Isn’t there a son or two, as well? Let’s make them all Senators. Any farm animals, family pets, etc.?

Cannot spare her—she fights. As far as anyone crying nepotism, that ship has sailed. Worldwide, from Trudeau to Aquino to BushClinton, it’s a fact of life. In our constitutional republic, the voters decide if it’s rank nepotism or simply leveraging of name recognition.
I see a Bannon - Sarah Huckabee presidential ticket in the future.
I would want to learn a lot more about HER positions on various issues. Daddy H, as governor, was very ‘moderate’ regarding illegals.
She may be a great Press Sec, but that does not necessarily make her a front-runner for a senate seat.
Now, if we were talking about back-bencher Boozman’s seat, I might be for that.
