Kinda comical to listen to the 911 call. The store owner expects immediate, sophisticated help. He gets discouragement and disillusionment.

Didn’t click on the link. Any better description of the suspects and their vehicle?

Say what you will about the down field accuracy of the Kalashnikov, but you will seldom be outgunned in a gunfight firing 7.62.

boy needs to practice with his AK. Sounds like he didn’t hit anything; bad guys or their truck. If they are getting away and no longer a death threat let em go but if they are firing from the truck that is another thing. KAPOW.

My cousin owns a convenience store near Baton Rouge. One day he saw a customer drive off w.o. paying for his pumped gas. Cousin hops in his vehicle and follows, while calling police on cell phone. He continues to follow, updating 911. The perp pulls to the side of the road and stops. Cousin also pulls over and stops (still on phone w. 911). Perp steps out of car and pulls a gun. Cousin also is armed (and licensed to carry). Perp fires and misses. Cousin doesn't miss.

Footnote: cousin's dad is former Marine. ALL five of his kids (including the lone girl) were well-trained with firearms.

I wonder what he hit when he missed the bad guys, or what they hit when they shot at him. There’s a lot of houses around there to be shooting anything let alone an AK.

A 911 operator laughed at me when I called in a report of loose cattle on a road one night. She couldn’t get past her disbelief that there was livestock in the city. I gave the address then hung up.

Another time I called in a drunk driver being an idiot in a parking lot on a Sunday night. Spent 10 minutes following the car after it left and the dispatcher said they didn’t have enough cops on duty to get someone there.
