Franken is one of the 100 “Lords” of the Senate. The most exclusive and powerful club in America. There isn’t an independent thinker in the entire GOP caucus - Cruz and Paul included. Some will fuss a bit on issues, but they are all part of the club and will continue to apply separate rules to their colleagues to the Senate, and separate rules for anyone trying to join the club without their approval.
Moore wan’t the first to be given the shiv by the GOPe (remember McMahon, Miller, Akins, etc.). Dems back their people even if they are weak. A candidate that doesn’t have the GOPe gets starved of funds and actively undermined.

i would think there is no doubt about that. ALL the other ones in the news have been accompanied with actual proof in terms of pictures and or documents with the culprits admitting they did it, whereas no proof or obviously faked proof regarding Roy’s accusers as well as many witnesses refuting the accusers.
I’m thinking many voters in Alabama are figuring out the difference ...
If I were able to vote in this upcoming special election, I would vote for Moore to help him win...simply for the pleasure off seeing McConnell have to backtrack and make a fool of himself.
It goes back further than that, with decreasing significance as poll becomes more outdated, and weights the results based on polls past reliability.

Good points. The good people of Alabama are seeing all this, and concluding that this was a desperate smear campaign against their guy.
The media in the New York/Washington axis, some of whom have admitted they just don’t understand “middle America”, “flyover country”, or “evangelicals”, or “people of faith”, are similarly flummoxed about what happened on the way to knocking Moore out of the race with a trumped up smear.

i assume the flummoxing you’re referring to is the giant boomerang that’s mowing down whole swaths of uber-leftist politicians and “entertainers” whereas the boomerang simply bounced off of Roy Moore before making its return flight of total destruction ...
As opposed to aiming at Bill Clinton and shooting Bob Livingston.
