Whats a husband to do? Hire a lawyer and make his wife really pay? :-)

I guess I am flabbergasted by the meanness and frankly, idiocy, of such an action. Besides the immediate friction generated, the natural counter is to separate as many of your resources, financial and personal, from your wife as possible. For me, divorce is impossible, but such a violation as stealing your car puts so many things in motion. I know it is not in the same league as cavorting with another man, but still it is awful! Good on you to be able to smile (even with characters) after that.
