For me it is location. For example, a private club is meeting at a downtown hotel. I believe the right to peaceful assembly allows demonstrating at the hotel or nearby as civil authorities may designate. However demonstrating at a private residence or on private property should be prohibited.
When someone is having a private funeral, I would also include the funeral route and the land abutting the procession during the duration thereof. It is common decency.
