Some episodes of TOS stand up quite well, I think. Yes the sets and effects are quite cheesy and the stories are limited by the one-hour drama episode structure. But some of the episodes deal with thoughtful issues. Just watched Space Seed the other day. This is the episode that introduced Ricardo Montalban as Khan. Yeah the over-acting by Montalban and Shatner could barely be contained on my TV, but it was still a good story. BBC America shows a lot of TOS as well as TNG (never got onto TNG...).

Sorry, none of the later incarnations can hold TOS jock strap.

STD is politically correct drivel pushed by Moonves who did not care about the difference between star wars or star trek. He also thinks rubber suits and ray guns make for sci fi that people will pay for.

Why does the BBC show reruns of American shows!
It is suppose to be a British channel.

Just watched that episode the other night.
I was staring at Miri because I knew I’d seen her before but just couldn’t place her.
Then it hit me - Kim Darby.

HA!
I called TNG “Star Trek for women”.
Why blast ‘em with your Phaser when you can talk it out - incessantly, between boring intermissions.

Is there any way to see the new Star Trek series without paying a fee to NBC?
I guarantee that any way you try to watch this show, you will NOT pay a fee to NBC.
The show is provided by CBS.

Yep. I meant CBS. It seems to be some on-line pay service to watch over the inter-web.

Why would you want to watch those leftist vermin? Thanks. I didn't know. I wasn't going to pay to check it out anyway. But I can be uninterested just as easy. I'll just watch re-runs of Voyager and Next Gen. ;o)

So good that it made me shut off cable and stopping watching current TV entirely. The one where they denied a dying race the cure just because maybe it was what ‘evolution wanted’ was the last straw.
