China Displays Global Expansion With Military Showcase in Africa

Images of tanks firing live rounds and soldiers engaging in target practice in the deserts of Djibouti, east Africa played on Chinese state television Friday.

The soldiers were from China’s only overseas military base, which was completed in the country only months ago.

Beijing-based military analyst Zhou Chenming told The South China Morning Post that the exercises were likely a prelude to more sophisticated drills to be held later this year.

“The overseas troops will engage in regular military exercises just like troops serving [in China]. But their practice should soon have a different focus, rather than basic shooting training, because their mission in Djibouti is to protect China’s interests in Africa, as well as peacekeeping,” Zhou said.

China’s overseas military expansion was the focus of a July Pentagon report, which said that Beijing may soon seek to establish a network of similar facilities around the world.

China first started constructing the Djibouti base in early 2015. Located near one of the world’s busiest shipping channels, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said the move would allow China to contribute to regional peace and stability, and extend its efforts to combat Somali pirates.

Definitely a sign of the times.

I came back through DJ about a year ago.

The Chinese had been given more than 20,000 acres in DJ, by the highly corrupt banana government in DJ, for the purpose of building a permanent and joint strategic Chinese Navy/Air Force/Marines base. The desire for more area was probably granted.

The goal was to ultimately muscle out the US Navy fueling base and end SOCOM operations from DJ (which reach deep into both AFRICOM and CENTCOM AOR’s from DJ), and more importantly, to create a permanent and overwhelming Chinese military presence at the southern entry of the Red Sea.

Additionally, the Chinese will track what we are doing from our Naval facility in DJ.

As a long term strategic objective, the Chinese have long sought to control the worlds busiest shipping canals and ports.

Clinton gave administrative control of the Panama Canal, not to Panama, but to the Chinese, as a partial kickback for the many millions of dollars the Chinese dumped into the Clinton/Gore Campaign years ago.

(It was done through a Chinese front company named Hutchinson Wampoa.)

In Djibouti, they are not hiding what they are trying to do.

As well, the Chinese recently had roughly 25,000 soldiers fighting alongside the Russians in Syria. Many went through the Re Sea, and then through the Russian Naval Base at Tartus, Syria. A Russian naval base with an approximately 100 mile no-fly zone.

The Chinese also have a significant presence on the ground in Iraq, and have long controlled some of Iraq’s most important energy facilities.

In the Middle East, China is allied with Russia, Iran, and Turkey. So while disturbing, it is expected China will continue to increase its geopolitical and military presence throughout this strategic region. The greatest threat of this axis, is not to the US, but to the people and governments of Europe and Israel.

And we are not even getting into what has been going on in our immediate backyard.

Africa is rich in natural resources, so it’s a perfect fit for China’s growing needs.

As other conservative and patriotic American presidents have encountered when taking office after years or decades of deliberately weakened defenses by left wing “progressive” presidents, President Trump has inherited an impossible situation.

As in the 1950’s, when American debt was piled high, Russia and China are covering for each other, and expanding TRUE geopolitical and military hegemony in different directions. This has ALWAYS taken place in conjunction with western media & press and academics providing the universal and never ending *FAKEOUT* historical revisionism and stories of western hegemonic history.

In a nutshell, our socialists provide cover for the REAL Socialist and Communist governments and Dictatorships of the world to continue expanding and strengthening their grip and influence over subjugated populations.

In General, *China is covering a southern East/West trade route and defense curtain, and the Southern Middle East strategic resource region // *Russia is covering the northern East/West defense and pipeline curtain, and the central and northern Middle East. And they overlap and reinforce each other.

It is interesting.

I would not be surprised to see Russia (Putin) initiate an initially covert takeover of the Baltics, starting with Estonia or Lithuania. As with the Ukraine, they may send in civilian clothed soldiers initially, and go from there.

Either way, I expect Trump and the US, Europe, and Israel to be severely tested.

The Chinese will be far less tolerant of African BS than the West has been, as the Africans will discover soon enough.

To your point, historically, Chinese trade has taken place throughout African jurisdictions for millennia.

Your point is correct!

However, in our modern age, I have witnessed how it is done with a communist bend. AND the goal is to diminish western influence while strengthening the real communist Chinese government and its strategic geopolitical influence globally.

Many nations throughout Africa have experienced brutal communist and dictatorial governments off and on throughout the past century and even before. Some presently.

However, I am also aware of current efforts by China to create new communist governments, and their current efforts to undermine democratically elected parliamentary governments in several national jurisdictions, by supporting ISIS and communist groups with weapons, trade deals, and even infrastructure.

So like the Soviets in the past century, the Chinese are not afraid of helping create revolutionary’s who will be loyal or friendly to the Chinese Communist government.

I have documented, and have spoken with leadership in several places along the equator. Many nations are having very real problems and reaching out to the US, hoping we will intervene in their behalf because of dangerous Chinese deals they have entered into, or because China is dumping weapons into the hands of bloody organizations seeking to finish them off.

Realistically, we cannot cover down to help so many already deeply and historically dysfunctional and economically illiterate jurisdictions.

However, the modern subjugatory Chinese Communist government (like with Soviet Russia, and Russia even today) is new bi-generationally, and either seeks to neutralize western parliamentary foreign policy, often historically designed to protect trade and influence the creation of new democratically elected governments, or outright seeks to overwhelm them in time and space, to influence the spread of communism and communist friendly government.

What I have witnessed and sought to provide definition of in a nutshell -

*The Chinese government presents a deal with a financially broke African government - say with Kenya, promises to develop energy and mineral production and infrastructure, (which they will do in part, to get the resources to the coast), and then carries out enough of the agreement to build the infrastructure to the new (ALWAYS duel purpose) port facility. However, in every country they have gone into, such as Kenya, Uganda, South Africa etc... the “Peoples Army is building permanent bases or posts, not paid the host government agreement, and has provided support to anti-government rebel organizations. The not so ironic kicker, the host governments are literally afraid of kicking the Chinese out, because the Chinese have often established a more capable military presence than what the host country can or is willing to test.

I am also aware of actual trade involving weapons to dictators, communists, and ISIS affiliated organizations almost everywhere they have gone.

While not easily followed in the West, there are going to be unthinkable bloodbaths across Africa in the future.

*Other places of significant strategic concern, watch out freedom loving people of South Africa, and watch out Gibraltar. China is rapidly seeking to militarily base in Morocco (as they already have in DJ), placing them in potentially threatening strategic position of shipping routes through the Red Sea AND The Straits of Gibraltar. In a large scale war, it is unclear if population and defenses would even survive the strategic assets which would be used. However, if there was survival, this could potentially cut off the Med, in or out.

The Idiot's Guide to Chinagate

By Richard Poe
May 26, 2003

CHINA WILL LIKELY replace the USA as world leader, said Bill Clinton in a recent Washington Post interview. It is just a matter of time. Clinton should know. He has personally done more to build China's military strength than any man on earth.

Most Americans have heard of the so-called "Chinagate " scandal. Few understand its deadly import, however. Web sites such as "Chinagate for Dummies" and its companion "More Chinagate for Dummies" offer some assistance. Unfortunately, with a combined total of nearly 8,000 words, these two sites - like so many others of the genre - offer more detail than most of us "dummies" can absorb.

For that reason, in the 600 words left in this column, I will try to craft my own "Idiot's Guide to Chinagate," dedicated to all those busy folks like you and me whose attention span tends to peter out after about 750 words.

Here goes.

When Bill Clinton took office in 1993, China presented little threat to the United States. Chinese missiles "couldn't hit the side of a barn," notes Timothy W. Maier of Insight magazine. Few could reach North America and those that made it would likely miss their targets.

Thanks to Bill Clinton, China can now hit any city in the USA, using state-of-the-art, solid-fueled missiles with dead-accurate, computerized guidance systems and multiple warheads.

China probably has suitcase nukes as well. These enable China to strike by proxy - equipping nuclear-armed terrorists to do their dirty work, while the Chinese play innocent. Some intelligence sources claim that China maintains secret stockpiles of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons on U.S. soil, for just such contingencies.

In 1997, Clinton allowed China to take over the Panama Canal. The Chinese company Hutchison Whampoa leased the ports of Cristobal and Balboa, on the east and west openings of the canal respectively, thus controlling access both ways. A public outcry stopped Clinton in 1998 from leasing California's Long Beach Naval Yard to the Chinese firm COSCO. Even so, China can now strike U.S. targets easily from their bases in Panama, Vancouver and the Bahamas.

How did China catch up so fast? Easy. We sold them all the technology they needed - or handed it over for free.

Neither neglect nor carelessness are to blame. Bill Clinton did it on purpose.

As a globalist, Clinton promotes "multipolarity"-the doctrine that no country (such as the USA) should be allowed to gain decisive advantage over others.

To this end, Clinton appointed anti-nuclear activist Hazel O'Leary to head the Department of Energy. O'Leary set to work "leveling the playing field," as she put it, by giving away our nuclear secrets. She declassified 11 million pages of data on U.S. nuclear weapons and loosened up security at weapons labs.

Federal investigators later concluded that China made off with the "crown jewels"of our nuclear weapons research under Clinton's open-door policy - probably including design specifications for suitcase nukes.

Meanwhile, Clinton and his corporate cronies raked in millions.

In his book The China Threat, Washington Times correspondent Bill Gertz describes how the system worked. Defense contractors eager to sell technology to China poured millions of dollars into Clinton's campaign. In return, Clinton called off the dogs. Janet Reno and other counterintelligence officials stood down while Lockheed Martin, Hughes Electronics, Loral Space & Communications and other U.S. companies helped China modernize its nuclear strike force.

"We like your president. We want to see him reelected," former Chinese intelligence chief General Ji Shengde told Chinagate bagman Johnny Chung.

Indeed, Chinese intelligence organized a massive covert operation aimed at tilting the 1996 election Clinton's way.

Clinton's top campaign contributors for 1992 were Chinese agents; his top donors in 1996 were U.S. defense contractors selling missile technology to China.

Clinton received funding directly from known or suspected Chinese intelligence agents, among them James and Mochtar Riady who own the Indonesian Lippo Group; John Huang; Charlie Trie; Ted Sioeng; Maria Hsia; Wang Jun and others.

Commerce Secretary Ron Brown served as Clinton's front man in many Chinagate deals. When investigators began probing Brown’s Lippo Group and Chinagate connections, Brown died suddenly in a suspicious April 1996 plane crash.

Needless to say, China does not share Clinton's enthusiasm for globalism or multipolarity. The Chinese look out for Number One.

"War [with the United States] is inevitable; we cannot avoid it," said Chinese Defense Minister General Chi Haotian in 2000. "The issue is that the Chinese armed forces must control the initiative in this war."

Bill Clinton has given them a good start.

Important to note that Bill Clinton's Chinagate happened during the 1996 presidential election.

In consideration of that, take another look and think about this, with a socus on the word "multipolarity"...

From the Sino-Russian Joint Statement of April 23, 1997:
"The two sides [China and Russia] shall, in the spirit of partnership, strive to promote the multipolarization of the world and the establishment of a new international order."
