I did...but it was cold. LOL! I probably could have made the round trip on Monday, but it would have had to sit all day in the very cold on almost empty. I always want to have enough gas so it can warm up.
It’s supposed to warm up into the 20s for the next few days, and then some snow over several days. We will see.
I saw “0” on your WU thermometer before turning the computer off last night and it made me shiver. I figured it was going to be a cold trip to the gas station today. Temps in the 20s will feel almost warm, huh? LOL
Our days haven’t been too bad but it’s been dropping into the 20s at night. They SAY we’ll have a couple of days in the mid 60s this week but we’ll believe when we feel it.
What we need is some rain, badly. It’s getting dangerously dry here. A wildfire was started this evening along the interstate west of Nashville by someone’s tire blowing out. Firefighters have been able to get it under control according to the news report a short time ago.
That time of year again...how time flies.
Blinking is all it took....cool plane, Luv.
Man, it sure does fly fast!
Thanks! It’s supposed to be animated, but I think Fotki has a glitch! LOL!
It’s animated on my computer.
Well, that’s weird! Probably if I restarted, it would be on mine, but I’m too lazy. Thanks for letting me know! :)
I’m going to have to go soon. Another early morning...plus a busy one...tomorrow. I don’t like this Early Bird stuff! LOL!
An author, too....very cool.
Sounds like your ‘puter is in a “mood” tonight. LOL!
But the animation is working fine and it IS a cool pic. :-)
Yeah, it’s going to be a busy day for y’all tomorrow. I hope Peaches is outside tonight so you can get a good sleep.
I feel for ya having to be an early bird again.
:-)
:-)
Glad you had a good day. Sleeping a lot seems to be the norm, especially if you can’t get out of bed.
Hopefully when you get the hoist you will be able to get her in her wheelchair, and then out of the room.
Glad she will have visitors tomorrow...hope the son and DIL can visit often...that will be important to her. And you need the support.
Good evening/morning, Silentgypsy...glad you enjoyed Part 1 of The Berlin Airlift story.
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for this morning's thread, Star. How's it going?
Evening, Kathy! Love to read about this era.
Yikes! Hope you get some rain really soon.
Sure glad the firefighters were able to get the wildfire out quickly.
Mine, too....parachutes away!!
Good morning, Mooch....The Berlin Airlift is a very important story. Glad you enjoyed the read.
It would be REALLY nice if we could get some rain. It’s been a very dry month, and we didn’t get a lot of rain during Sept. and Oct. This time of year with the grass dying and dead leaves all over the ground, it doesn’t take much for a fire to start.
Fortunately the wind died at sunset and the fire must have been close to a town so the firefighters were able to put it out before it got out of hand.
Yep, it’s pretty cool!
And perfect for the thread. :-)
radu.....#50!!
