With prospects dimming for a deal this year to prevent young immigrants brought the to U.S. as children from deportation, sympathetic groups are planning a big push over the next few weeks to force the issue back to the top of Washington’s agenda.
Activists see their December bid as their last, best shot to save 800,000 young immigrants protected by the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program.
They face a tough challenge, with the White House distracted by tax reform and Congress reluctant to act quickly to save the program.

The multiple initiatives to save the immigrants begin next week, when caravans of the young immigrants will start arriving in Washington. Activists are planning rallies in front of the White House, sit-ins on Capitol Hill and other possible acts of civil disobedience.
“People are throwing everything at the wall because they see this as the moment,” said Jeremy Robbins, executive director of the Partnership for a New American Economy, which is working with Republicans and Democrats who support protecting DACA recipients.
The business community will set up a “war room” inside the Capitol where Republican and Democratic supporters can conduct satellite interviews with national and local media.
The room will include video monitors of interactive maps with data from all 435 congressional districts and live feeds to coordinated rallies in dozens of major cities across the country, including Miami, Raleigh, N.C., Sacramento, Calif., Kansas City and Boise, Idaho, among others.
Senate Republicans such as North Carolina’s Thom Tillis and South Carolina’s Lindsey Graham, who have introduced bills to protect the immigrants, have recorded videos in support of the effort.

The Marxist ‘RATS can’t afford to lose any “voters” now. They need this “huge push” or they’ll be in deep cow pies come the 2018 elections. They rely heavily on the illegal voters.
It’s also one of the richest in terms of resources and manpower. I’ve always thought it a shame that these activists don’t concentrating on overturning the corruption and rest of the political system there, instead of carping about America.

Not only NO AMNESTY we need to REVOKE AMNESTY. Any person born on US soil from parents that were here illegally is NOT A US CITIZEN and needs to be deported along with the parents.

I was disappointed that Trump didn’t end the unconstitutional DACA program on his first day in office. Instead, he kind of gave it legitimacy by extending it for 6 months. I hope he doesn’t cave. He should only keep DACA in exchange for total funding of the wall across the entire southern border.

Where are the conservatives? Why aren’t they pushing as hard for an end to Obamacare? Conservatives and libertarians simply lack any energy to constitute a viable social movement. They are unmotivated and they are lazy. They want to play the games of thugs by gentlemen’s rules.

The so called ‘faith’ based charities are fighting for continuation of tax payer dollars they receive for human trafficking. The Catholics have been paid billions over the years trafficking humans. Other denominations are on our dime as well.
