A tale of sadness and woe from the liberal democrat professionals in the State Department:
Mr. Miller got just five minutes with the secretary of state, the former officials said. Afterward, Mr. Miller, a career Foreign Service officer, was pushed out, joining a parade of dismissals and early retirements that has decimated the State Departments senior ranks. Mr. Miller declined to comment.
The departures mark a new stage in the broken and increasingly contentious relationship between Mr. Tillerson and much of his departments work force. By last spring, interviews at the time suggested, the guarded optimism that greeted his arrival had given way to concern among diplomats about his aloofness and lack of communication. By the summer, the secretarys focus on efficiency and reorganization over policy provoked off-the-record anger.
Now the estrangement is in the open, as diplomats going out the door make their feelings known and members of Congress raise questions about the impact of their leaving.

Clean house! The more the better.
It’s delightful. Don’t just read the headline, read the article for full enjoyment!
Nothing like a RIF to encourage sudden loyalty and concern about metrics.
Tillerson was CEO of Exxon and he did a great job making big decisions, leaving the less than big decisions to others.
This is exactly what Trumps wanted and the media tried to counter with ‘let you and him’ fight type coverage.
Winning. Not tired of it yet.
fta... contentious relationship between Mr. Tillerson and much of his departments work force.
*****************************************
They weren’t HIS workforce; they were Obama/Hillary employees who don’t support Trump’s agenda.
Trump, early on, told Tillerson to reduce the State Dept. budget, so Rex is getting rid of the deep staters.
The folks who left in the first wave....might have been able to find a handful of university or foundation jobs. The rest are having a tough time and limited options for jobs.
For they are not.
Career diplomats’ tears. Sweeeet!

How sweet it is! Tillerson is draining swamp, and it’s making a gurgling noise as it swirls down the S pipe.
He knows how to clean house & get loyal people in there!
Broken? More like he is degreasing and fixing the wormed state
All of a sudden the term estranged is a good thing... Liberals used to use that word as some pariah needing exit
Tillerson was CEO of the Boy Scouts and he did a great job of turning them into a faggot organization.
“Rex is getting rid of the deep staters.”
Rex IS a deep stater.
I Hate for that alone.
An excellent article once properly translated. For example, the 2nd paragraph:
“The departures mark a new stage in the broken and increasingly contentious relationship between Mr. Tillerson and much of his departments work force.”
>>Tillerson will not tolerate leftist activism at Foggy Bottom. There’s a new Sheriff in town and he means business.
“By last spring, interviews at the time suggested, the guarded optimism that greeted his arrival had given way to concern among diplomats about his aloofness and lack of communication.”
>>Tillerson is ignoring and ostracizing entitled feeling, career diplomats in order to run them out of office.
“By the summer, the secretarys focus on efficiency and reorganization over policy provoked off-the-record anger.”
>>Everything the loathsome State department did and was under Obama is being dismantled.
A lot more like this all through the article. All in all, some of the most encouraging news I’ve seen in quite a while!
Oh how I love the sound of liberal butt-hurt in the morning! It sounds like victory!!
T-Rex: Secretary of Stating like a BOSS!
In this, Tillerson has done a wonderful job removing the rot at the State Department despite his other issues. The top talent that was responsible for the disastrous foreign policy of the last two administrations needs to be flushed down the drain. In fact, it needed to be flushed yesterday.

This is what Trump was voted in to do ..... for all the enemedia's carping at T-Rex, trying to gin up conflict between him/Trump in their articles, I'm very happy to see he's draining the State Dept. swamp. One name in particular that was mentioned, Patrick Kennedy, was HORRIBLE (Benghazi in particular) .... an early departure & glad to see him go. A lot of these people leaving by whatever means are likely proud members of #theresistance. It's hard to implement new MAGA policies & get the world's respect back when you have Bush/Obama holdovers doing their own thing & fighting you every step of the way. If McCain's unhappy, it's 'all good'.
