“...blaming the victims, that is still something reserved for conservative women.”

He lost me at this snarky remark. It’s probably his underlying message and it’s not true.

There are people (men and women) who call themselves conservative who are judgmental, that’s where any truth to this ends

As a conservative woman, let me say this. In a family of five girls, there are a few rare stories of perv victimhood. One occurred during a ski weekend when the escort/date saw the behavior, stopped it. After it got reported to our brother he went to the perv with threats

My father, a Marine, said “what the hell was she doing going away skiing with those jerks?” We we’re led by example to avoid situations.

At work, in military uniform, was harassed by a perverted officer. Just doing my job, creepy guy is at fault.

The men in our family are taught to be gentlemen. There’s that part of being a conservative woman.

Which is why, in my military career, when out at night unescorted, as soon as happy hour turned to post-crud sloppiness, recognizing non-gentlemanliness, split the scene with friends for the movies or dinner.

How much is it the victims fault? How much is it the poor upbringing of the offender? Is it at work,? Is it out at night intoxication involved? immodesty? There are many factors.

To say that conservative women blame the victim is shallow. Conservatism is common sense. Common sense applied to these cases, will always blame the offender for not properly living in society.

To what extent the victim tempted the offender is an assessment made for the purpose of avoiding certain situations as the case may be, and teaching the youth we are in charge of

It is not done in order to apply guilt or moral superiority.

Common sense, which, this article, in its judgmental tone, lacks.

Boy, did you misconstrue his point. He meant that the media and progressives can still blame conservative women victims.

I think all the author meant was that if a conservative woman is the victim, she will be blamed. That is, to a liberal hypocrite, the woman is always to blame if she is conservative.

I believe he's actually saying that victim blaming is reserved for conservative women who are victims.
