When I read it, my first thought is “why is he saying that about conservative women” - they don’t immediately blame the victims. Then it occurred to me that he means leftists defending their own by attacking non-leftist (i.e., conservative) women (think Hillary and her gang tearing down Clinton’s babes, one by one).
Not well-written by the author here, in any case.

I think all the author meant was that if a conservative woman is the victim, she will be blamed. That is, to a liberal hypocrite, the woman is always to blame if she is conservative.
The “She was asking for it.” defense makes a comeback among DemoncRATS.

Can see how you guys would interpret it that way. Now that you say it it explains why an otherwise thoughtful Derek Hunter would go awry. He didn’t.
Two points, though. One, there are no conservative women victims getting blamed, are there? There is a wide disparity between the way conservative and liberal perpetrators are being treated. I’m not aware of such regarding victims.
That was why the pre coffee interpretation went the way of the English major/teacher-my second point, logic takes over- no energy in that state to interpret what the author means. What he wrote was that conservative women blame.
The construction, your term, Raybrr, is this:

Again, he's talking about society particularly the leftists. The subject of his article. You can choose to interpret it that way or, you can see that he is referring back to the subject of the article.
There’s a neat little trick the liberals who’ve been outed as sexual predators have been attempting that is designed to absolve themselves of some of the guilt associated with their actions – blaming everyone.
