“IMAGINARY TURKEY!”

Isn’t that a song from the 70s?

No. Imaginary Turkey was part of the syncopation fad of the 1920s spurred on by Gershwin. Think ‘fascinating rhythm,’ ‘nictitating membrane’, ‘imaginary turkey.’

Now, if you’ll excuse men, I’m due back in the psych ward.

“Imaginary Turkey, has got me, On the run.”

Yeah I remember that. Isn’t that the one that was falling down the charts, which in combination with the UK supporting the US in Viet Nam (or was it Biafra, I forget) that had John tossing his MBE over the fence at Buckingham Palace?

Drugs are a terrible thing.
