No I don't think so. Denzel Washington is big enough that he can get away with speaking the truth. Unlike Cosby he is still a bankable star.... witness his new movie opening this week.

If he got involved in a positive cause--to really create positive "change." Plus he'd have more credibility than some white guy "lecturing" about the importance of marriage and fathers.

And it’s very difficult for the present generation of Black men to do that, not because they’re necessarily dodging their responsibilities, but because so many simply don’t know how because of their own single mother (and frequently dysfunctional) upbringing. Restoring the importance of marriage is a must, too.
Denzel better be squeaky clean or he will get the Cosby Treatment.

Quite true. Sadly. Still, there are places one could learn, be trained. Community mental health centers can be good. Not all of them are but many are.
I hope other good and Godly black men of stature will publicly back him. It is time for those truths to be accepted, and for real hope and change to occur in that community. Prayers up for Denzel.
In our county in central Illinois it’s 75% unmarried mothers..holding steady for 10 years or more.
That and 60% have psych problems or mental disabilities. Our prisons today are the mental hospitals of yesterday. Reason? State, County, and Local federal aid. $$$ for each prisoner.
Be careful Mr. Washington or you’ll soon be ‘Cosby’ied...
