I remember, back in the early 80’s, standing on a cliff in a park in Magnolia (Seattle neighborhood with view of Elliot bay), taking tons of pictures of a ship coming into harbor. It was a very big news story and historic moment.

It was the very first trade ship from China.

My, how times change. And pretty fast.

That was fast. Remember when Japanese and “junk” were used in the same sentence? As we’ve learned so-called “fair trade” that isn’t fair sends the economy of the cheated nation over to the cheating nation.
