Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn's team of lawyers will no longer be working with Trump's defense team during special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling. They had been sharing information up until this point.
That may mean, The New York Times muses, that Flynn's team is cooperating with the Mueller investigation. The only reason for the split would be a conflict of interest.
The Times reportedly has four sources to confirm the split. If true and Flynn is cooperating with Mueller, it could result in a much more scrutinized look into the Trump campaign.
A deal with Mr. Flynn would give Mr. Mueller a behind-the-scenes look at the Trump campaign and the early tumultuous weeks of the administration. Mr. Flynn was an early and important adviser to Mr. Trump, an architect of Mr. Trump’s populist “America first” platform and an advocate of closer ties with Russia.
Yet, as the editors notes, this split could also mean that some lawyers are no longer information-sharing because they have begun negotiating with prosecutors.
Flynn was fired earlier this year for misleading Vice President Mike Pence about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
Mueller's team has already indicted Paul Manafort and his associate Rick Gates for money laundering and conspiracy against the United States, and former Trump foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos for lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian officials. Trump campaign wast not named in the first indictment and Trump has dismissed Papadopoulos as a "low-level volunteer" on his campaign.
How do you cooperate on a nothing burger?
Ah...the New York Times. Must be true then!
Hooray!
Mueller manufactured a process crime ala Scooter Libby!
I refuse to believe that Flynn is a Lying Turncoat Coward Rat.
So what and who cares?
ALTERNATIVE ANALYSIS ... Mueller required Flynns team to quit talking to Trumps team as a condition for negotiation. No cooperation implied.
If Mueller wants to start a civil war he will be among the first casualties.
If Flynn is to be charged working together would pose legal and ethical problems
Flynn was never working for Trump. Flynn’s team of lawyers that were part of Trumps administration and they left that a while ago. If Flynn, now a private citizen, was not to cooperate with the Mueller investigation, he could be charged and fined and or jailed. If he is ordered not to discuss terms of the case with anyone, he is required to. Why is this a big deal?

“Ah...the New York Times. Must be true then!”
Hehehe. I highly doubt that the Flynn/Turkey collusion has anything to do with President Trump.
I am tired of the media play Psych Ops games on the public trying to keep Democratic partisan hope up that the “hated” D Trump will be impeached.
Dear Media, please fall on your sword and end this mess.
YEAH! WE GOT TRUMP NOW! PASS THE CHARDONNAY!
How do you investigate and charge people based on a Fake Dossier ?
Uh huh.
*rme*
Exactly
You threaten to send someone to prison for 40 years unless they agree to make up a story to be used against Trump. I think Flynn has a dirty history with the Podesta group (completely unrelated to Trump), so the big question is what is he willing to do or say in order to save himself?
More faux news.
“How do you cooperate on a nothing burger?”
exactly. so let him “cooperate” as much as he wants.
not to mention this whole Flynn/Mueller/Trump BS is based solely on a single ANONYMOUS report that Flynn got his own lawyers instead of the ones Trump originally helped high get, so the fake stream media gens up from whole cloth that that is a big deal and actually means something. it’s how the fake stream media works. and FReepers dutifully help the fake stream media spread their BS by posting it here over and over again.
