10% flat, pure as the fallen snow, income tax for all. No deductions, loopholes, credits, or EITC. Everyone pays the same rate.

That was the price he paid to the sons of Abraham in order to get their backing.

He hasn’t signed the Christ killing thing yet, so reserve judgement.

Millions of good people live in “blue” states, sadly we’re outvoted by scum. Republican Congressman in these states who for vote for a bill that raises taxes on their (Republican) constituents might find themselves out of a forking job.

this yr if this bill passes we might be even or slightly ahead....last yr we would have been creamed, and frankly I think what little benefit there is will deteriorate quickly in subsequent yrs..

Sure is a good idea, but if you recall, Trump did not campaign on a flat tax. Someone someday will run on this and I will support him, (Remember Forbes? who did you vote for there?) I tried to support him but I also wanted immigration to be better controlled. I was told to not let the door hit my ass on my way out.

So we have Trump now. Why not support his program, get immigration under control, and then go for another overhaul of the tax system? Hint, Forbes did not come close last time he tried this, and he was a good candidate for this idea.

“I am all in for a lower corporate tax rate, but RAISING TAXES on working families to make up the difference and flat out lying about it is game changing.”

Sarah was saying we need to look at the spending side of the tax and spend duality. I agree but the campaign idea that was proposed was to lower the taxes and goose the economy and then cut the spending. The first half does not mean that the second half has been ignored, it was always in the second movement of the Trump plan.

And one more thing while I am posting to you, do not fall into the trap that the economy is a zero sum game. One does not have to “pay for one thing” in order to do something else. The growth of the economy will very likely provide enough revenue to continue to lower the taxes and still allow debt reduction and spending cuts in the future.

Too busy lining insurers pockets. I like the simplification of the tax, but raising my taxes... Really?
Can’t wait to hear what Chuck n Nancy get in their Christmas stockings. They had a great windfall for independence day. Everyone is silent on the debt deal, wonder why?

“This bill raises taxes on a family of four in ANY State, whether they have a State Income tax or not.”

No, it does not. What’s with the liberal propaganda??

Abolish the income and property taxes. You don’t own it if the government can take it.

You’re arguing that reducing the corporate tax rate ultimately creates jobs. I agree wholeheartedly; been preaching it forever!

Companies add jobs when the need for jobs is shown. They don't add simply because taxes increase or decrease. And haven't for years. The focus has been on reducing labor needed, not adding it simply because of a tax rate.

If they were smart, they would just cut the corporate tax rate and be done with it.

Bingo. Do this and let the revenues flow. Then they have the high ground to fiddle with the tax code.

Make it 5%, with spending cuts needed to balance the budget, and I am with you.

Building a wall is fine and dandy, but the backdoor of visas to enter the country must be “walled”, too.

Yeah, I’d like to see these people post some objective primary source proof that this will be a tax increase.
