Republicans Raising Taxes?
Sarah Palin News ^ | November 19, 2017 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 11/23/2017 7:51:57 PM PST by Bratch

Dear GOP Politicians Controlling Congress and the White House:

You’re arguing that reducing the corporate tax rate ultimately creates jobs. I agree wholeheartedly; been preaching it forever!

But, see, the same applies overall to Main St. Once small business and individual’s income taxes are reduced proportionate to your proposed corporate tax reductions, WE can expand our small busineeses and personal buying power… thus more jobs created. See?

Just like that obfuscating Obamacare rollout, this tax reform rollout buffalos the people with distractions in what you call “tremendous tax cuts for the middle class.” (For example, eliminating common deductions that average American homeowners rely on – in order to “pay for” your corporate cuts, thus pleasing Wall St. – results in far less tax reform benefit than what you’re selling.)

Important to us is you understand that when you allow the little guy to keep more of what we earn, then all boats rise.

GOP: both you and the democrats got us $20+ trillion in debt, with tens of trillions more in unfunded liabilities you never talk about. Hard to trust you’re any smarter today with questionable tax reform promises than you’ve been with all your decisions that have clobbered the middle class with high taxes due to constantly, CONSTANTLY overspending and growing government.

What happened to years of campaign promises to reduce average workers’ taxes expeditiously with a Fair or Flat across-the-board tax plan that lets us keep more of what we earn, which actually helps Main St? And your promises that our April 15 IRS form will fit on a postcard. And promises to balance the budget. And to create smaller, smarter government.

Thanks for working on tax reform. But your proposal isn’t good enough. Evidence is watching the well-connected on Wall St. and K St. grin today, while we’re left scratching our head, and in distrust.

So as your bosses, we say keep at it. And with faith that you walk and chew gum simultaneously, address our debt’s enormity.

With all due respect, Sarah Palin

“Never underestimate the wisdom of the people.”

At one time, it would have been great hearing this from Sarah Palin, but ever since she made tax-raiser Bill Walker the governor of Alaska, not so much.

Change via the political process seems to involve raising taxes on a working family of 4 who itemize anywhere from $2,500 to $9,000.

Also not getting rid of the communist judges and federal apparatchiks that use threats of violence and intimidation to enforce their unconstitutional tyranny whenever Trump issues an EO.

Never mind doing something about the $6,800 deductible on most peoples medical insurance that used to be $500.

Bottom line is that it is DC and the oligarchy in an unholy alliance with the CPUSA against the MIDDLE CLASS SUCKERS who work and ACTUALLY PAY INCOME TAX, who are about to get their deductions wiped out to cover a shortfall of 250 billion max if the corporate rate is cut to 20%, against anticipated revenues of 3.5 TRILLION.

So the corporate tax rate can be cut with minimal effect on the deficit, so why are the GOLDMAN SACHS BANKSTERS so HELL BENT on wiping out deductions that have been in place since the UNCONSTITUTIONAL INCOME TAX was enacted?

Because they can now raise rates in perpetuity and there's no way to mitigate the hit, deductions are GONE.

This is GRUBER and OBAMACARE all over again.

My level of care for blue communist state hellholes seeing a tax increase is exactly zero. If they want to vote for confiscatory tax rates locally, that’s their prerogative, but they shouldn’t expect to use it for a tax break from Uncle Sam.

The Uniparty Corporatist game is to lower corporate taxes, which arguably is good for creating jobs.

But their game is also to support an expensive welfare state that relieves them of the burden of providing things like health insurance for employees.

So the little people can’t really big given any big tax breaks in the end by the Republican Establishment Ryan and Boehner crowd.

Canada is a Corporatist paradise with a 15 percent corporate tax rate and a welfare state importing cheap labor with liberal immigration policies.

Big business doesn’t pay so much tax in our northern neighbor country and they are relieved of health care expenses as employers.

Plus the country imports waves of immigrants fatten up the labor force to keep salaries low.

Canadians pay hefty income taxes, a national sales tax and user fees etc. etc. etc.

The government up there proposed taxing employee discounts earlier this year and has been taking away tax exemptions for diabetics whose treatment limits their ability to work.

This is not about high tax States Vs low tax States.

It's about a cabal of bankers and oligarchs like Mnuchin and Cohn (GOLDMANN SACHS TOO BIG TO FAIL BANKSTERS WHO ARE WRITING THIS BILL) who are hell bent on cutting the corporate rate to 20%, no matter what the consequences.

If they were smart, they would just cut the corporate tax rate and be done with it.

In 2016, corporations paid about 300 billion in corporate taxes , individual tax payers paid 1.6 TRILLION in income tax and 1.1 TRILLION in FICA and Medicaid.

The Government made about 900 billion in excise taxes, total tax receipts about 3.3 trillion.

Anybody who doesn't understand that corporate taxes are the SMALLEST portion of Federal Tax Revenues doesn't really have the facts necessary to weigh in on what these degenerate scumbags are up to.

I am all in for a lower corporate tax rate, but RAISING TAXES on working families to make up the difference and flat out lying about it is game changing.

With DACA and the push for an increase in h1b visas, Americans won’t benefit from the corporate tax cuts, but we will be left holding the bill for the government handouts expected by immigrants.

There will be modest tax cuts for some folks, but not enough to cover all folks. In some cases, there WILL be a tax hike.

Pass-though business fare little better, at least in the House bill, in which only 30% of income charged at rates higher than 25% will be allowed to be taxed at 25%. The remainder could be taxed as high as 45.6 percent. In the Senate bill, the pass-through is merely dropped to 30%, compared to the corporate 20% (in which SALT is allowed).

The implications of these changes seem so negligible (at best) to most taxpayers that I wouldn’t bother wasting one ounce of political capital to get this stupid bill passed. If this is the best the GOP can do, they may as well pass nothing.

Didn’t elect Trump and a GOP majority to have my taxes raised.

Trump needs to step up and keep all deductions, cut the corporate rate to 22%, and figure out a way to “pay for “ 200 billion, which is what the hit on tax receipts will be , out of 3.5 TRILLION!!!

Hint, NO MORE RAISES OR BONUSES for FEDERAL APPARATCHIKS.

If the brain dead GOP cannot figure out that their fundamental brand is dependent on providing lower taxes for EVERYONE they really aren’t worth anything as a party.

The people writing this tax bill are lying Goldman Sachs oligarchs Banksters, the same scumbags that were “too big to fail” and got the taxpayers to bail them out back in 2008 that now want a huge tax cut for corporations and want the upper middle class to pay for it.

CUT SPENDING

DO NOT RAISE TAXES ON THE MIDDLE CLASS

This bill raises taxes on a family of four in ANY State, whether they have a State Income tax or not.

Banksters Mnuchin and Gary Cohn from Goldman Sachs are writing the tax bill.

This is an attempt at the biggest heist in history.

“Mnuchin is a member of the “Big Six”, a group of politicians convened to write a tax reform proposal that incorporated input from members of the House of Representatives, Senate, and White House. In addition to Mnuchin, the group consists of Senators Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY); Representatives Kevin Brady (R-TX) and Paul Ryan (R-WI); and National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn”.

Do you trust these 2 creepy scumbags or believe a goddamned word they say?

From RINOs, it wouldn’t surprise me.

One can hope that a House-Senate conference will merge teh best aspects of each bill, but realistically, it’s more likely that they’ll combine the worst aspects of each.

You complain about Mnuchin and Gary Cohn writing the tax bill, Trump picked them. If they write a bill so bad you complain about it in every single post on this thread Trump must be an idiot for picking them, right?
