A Muslim basketball player at Garden City Community College in Kansas has been kicked off the team but now the left is saying his civil rights were violated. Samir claims he was dismissed by the team after he made a stance on the National Anthem. A fan decided he had seen enough of that anthem stance, a confrontation followed.
19-year-old Rasool Samir refused to show respect for the National Anthem during a game. His team left the court, a big enough show of disrespect. Samir was not willing to do even that.
The Muslim teen kept shooting baskets while the country’s anthem played. Unsurprisingly, this angered some of the people in the stands.

My liberal friends insist free speech like that is the most American patriotic thing... But dare tell them to go f themselves...
They are working very hard to convince us of their treason.
I love how free speech has been conflated to include the workplace, a team, a restaurant. If only the dolts that screech this truly understood what the first amendment protects we’d live in a much better country.
I used to live in Garden City.
They had some pretty good athletes come through that Community College. Most of them were guys who didn’t have the GPA to get into a major university.
Mohammed was a loon.
I haven’t lived there since 1987 but back then there was a large population of people with odd German names like “Finkenbinder” “Dieselhorst” (who by the way was a diesel mechanic). There were some really good ones.
I actually liked them although my ancestors all came from the British Isles. I will say they were hard headed and patriotic. They would not put up with much disrespect to the flag.
One other thing about it was there were maybe4 or 5 blacks in the entire city notwithstanding the college.
One day one of them robbed a store. You would not believe how easy it was for the cops. All they had to do was round up Willie, Jerome, DeMarcus and Rastus. Find out where they had been and then they had their men. The cops joked about how easy it was.
Supposedly the booster who stood up to him has been fired from the booster club. Shameful.
Sounds like a CYA maneuver, knowing that the ACLU is sticking their nose into the matter.
Try getting the ACLU or these other lunatic leftists to defend YOUR ability to speak against abortion or for Israel at Berkeley or any other major campus.
