Sen. Al Franken Should Resign Immediately
newsmax ^ | November 20, 2017 | John Kass

Posted on 11/21/2017 12:42:23 AM PST by Oshkalaboomboom

Those popping sounds you hear aren't light bulbs breaking as they hit the frozen surface of Lake Wobegon.

Instead, that sound comes from political heads exploding in the Democratic Media Complex.

Because liberal Democratic Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota was exposed, completely, for what he really is by West Coast radio news anchor Leeann Tweeden.

There's that photo of Franken smiling and grabbing at her breasts as Tweeden, a former model, slept on the way home from a USO tour in 2006. Franken leered and posed, fingers spread on her, like some cartoon of a sex-crazed sixth-grade boy.

"You knew exactly what you were doing," Tweeden wrote in an online post. "You forcibly kissed me without my consent, grabbed my breasts while I was sleeping and had someone take a photo of you doing it, knowing I would see it later, and be ashamed."

And just like that, the Democratic strategy to politicize sexual abuse and use it to beat Republicans to death at the polls must undergo a drastic rewrite.

So what do Democrats do now? Do they demand that Franken resign?

Franken and Democratic and Republican Senate leaders want to send all this to the Senate Ethics Committee for an investigation. But there it will be lost in dusty vaults away from public scrutiny.

We already know what happened. An ethics committee investigation won't tell us what happened. The only question is: What are Democrats going to do about it?

Franken apologized, says he's sorry, says he respects women. But if he truly means it, there's one thing for him to do: Resign immediately, disappear out into the woods.

It’s strange to see all of my left leaning friends shrug off Bill Clinton like he never really mattered to them. After of 25 years of twisting his lack of morals into something acceptable to themselves, now they accept the fact that he was a perv and that they are now, far above anything to do with that side of Bill.... and everyone else should be just like they are about this kind of stuff now and hate Roy Moore. Did Roy Moore’s taking command of the primary happen about the same time as Rose McGowan outing Harvey Weinstein? I endured about 5 minutes of one of her movies last night. It’s hard to believe that she picked the date to come out about Harvey, so it would already be the “Nation’s Topic” when they broke the news about Roy Moore. When you control the topic, you can feed the topic. This is how the DNC operates to gain and keep control.

Dems want Franken to resign! (And why not? He’s in a safe state with a Dem governor.)

Time for Michelle Bachman to change parties and claim she is the only untarnished politician in the state, qualified to take Franken's place.

He just needs to hold out until the Moore election is over. Lib media needs to attack him now to claim they are being fair in attacking Moore. Once that election is over they’ll be back to defending liberals at all costs.

Ethics/morals/sanity is fluid with them, and criticizing Al is convenient today. After Moore, Al just needs to praise planned parenthood, or criticize Trump or any number of other things and he’ll be back in their favor.

“Sen. Al Franken Should Resign Immediately”

Nope, let him stay, he’s a clown and is the face of the democRATS in the senate. If the governor appoints a replacement, you can bet it will be a lib/socialist. Let the voters decide when a pubbie will have a chance to beat him.

Of Franken.........”who fancies himself as something unique”...

Nope, nothing unique about him at all, there are hundreds just like him in both the senate and the house. I want the list of names of all those who used OUR MONEY to pay off their accusers. That list needs to be made public.

“....what is up with the peeps in MN?. I mean, they really elected this jack ass? How? Why?.”......

Well, like many others, I am not certain he actually got LEGALLY ELECTED. When “last minute” votes are found in someone’s car trunk and the voting polls are closed, would that not appear a bit questionable? Me thinks Franken had some help stealing that election as NO ONE in their right mind would really vote for that buffoon.

I believe the game here is to sacrifice Stuart Smalley in an attempt to prevent Roy Moore being seated...

(1.) Frankin is forced to resign.
(2.) Another Liberal Dem. is appointed to take his seat.
(3.) The screaming begins anew: Conservatives are hypocrites!! “Frankin stepped down, but you continue to try to foist Roy Moore on us!!! Shame! Shame!” omitting for simplicity the fact that Frankin actually DID WHAT HE’S ACCUSED OF.

This is the game as I see it.

“They have already blown their wad on Trump but will try it in ‘20 if they get their Bannon scalp before then.”

They aren’t getting Bannon’s scalp. He is a private citizen running a campaign. But you are on to something that I think people are not aware of. Bannon was in Hollywood for years. He produced and directed close to 20 movies. That means he had an in with people like Weinstein as well as would know who in Hollywood is trash.

In addition, because of his time at Breitbart and in Washington, he would know all the players and what they have done or didn’t do. Plus, both Trump and Bannon knew that Bannon would do more for the administration by being on the outside. He was the White House chief strategist.

Bannon knows where the bodies are buried and he is digging them up for all the world to see. And with that, my new tagline is:

I despise Franken and Democrats and wish nothing but the worst for all of them.

But, I’m sick of both sides demanding “resignations” for everything that comes up and particularly those perceived infractions that involve so called “assaults” on women.

Women should get a grip. Pretty soon it will not be possible for any man of any substance to be alone with a woman anywhere. Many professional men already adhere to that policy. Ultimately, women will come out on the short end of that stick. My daughter is a very successful CPA. She agrees with me and advises that in the halls of her offices men already will NOT meet in a room alone with a woman! How stupid is that!

Why I called him Obi-Wan KaBannon the day it was announced when he was leaving the White House. Then came Yoda Gorka.

It's called self preservation.

I had a staff of 12, 10 were women.

My door was never closed when I met with them. Even when it was confidential, the door would be slightly open.

My secretary had standing orders to make sure my door was not hut if one of my women staffers was in my office with me.

Many times, my staff would come in and shut the door behind them. I would get up and open the door.

This was 25 years ago. It was called the "Billy Graham Rule", because that is what he did.

That rule never failed me.

I had that position for two years. It was hell every day. And these were design professionals.

Catty and backbiting as all get out.

It is ok for Franken, because he is liberal.

Leeann, maybe you should realize that the shame rests on your assailant. Embarrassed, maybe, but not ashamed.

I really can’t comprehend how a state that elected Christie twice also elects Menendez and Booker...

Worse now; our governor-elect wants a $15.00 minimum wage and legal "recreational" marijuana. There will be no threat of vetoes to hold our profligate RAT-dominated legislature in check, either.

The only hope is that reality sets in and even a Dem accepts it; that is what happened with Corzine (and the government worker caste HATED him for it).

Someone like Murphy knows that we’ve driven out so many businesses, and the $15/hour will close even more. Legalized pot just shrinks the eligible workforce.

There are plenty of closed stores throughout the state to serve as warning.

Nah. He just needs to go on a rural Minnesota tour of diners and bars to re-establish the working man’s and woman’s respect. Start at the diner by Lake Woebegone.
