Nice post. What we need to see is real viewership numbers. Like you , lifelong fan , but didnt watch any games on that weekend. Used y
To watch 2 on Sunday, mon night, and Thursday. Now only watch Cowboys when they are on. Even then recorded the boycott day game.
The media will not really publish all the stats regarding all forms of viewership, sales, etc as its going down.
Couple that with no real reporting on the mistake of allowing social justice to override the on the books protocal Re the anthem. Instead we get them not even showing the anthem to avoid the issue.
Sports is being used by BLM etc to further defile the honor due to those who gave their lives or service to allow a bunch of not much older than kids to foolishly not realize they had 8 years of the messiah to rectify their perceptions but instead he stirred them to keep the divide growing
What’s going on is fan erosion. At some point the erosion turns into a mudslide and the thing collapses. It takes time. The author is short-sighted and without patience.
Well, that makes total sense. That’s where our rights come from in the first place, according to our Founding Fathers.
And, the fact that Leftists are SO MUCH SMARTER than the rest of us, including G-d. ;) /s
no they won’t change so quickly, pain has to get unbearable before a person will change, usually. Some times it takes repeated pain.
The NFL product became stale and not worth watching.
That is the way I was starting to understand the article. Since this Borat bathing suit wearing poopski has declared that the boycott has failed, well then, we must all dutifully go back to the TV and drool endlessly. Gee this guy is smart.
Regarding NFL boycott, stay the course and time will tell. Initial boycott means nothing due to high salaries and tv revenue. Once advertising revenue drops and tv contracts are renegotiated we will see player salaries drop. Today’s college players will have less of a financial future thanks to the selfish and disrespectful actions of today’s players.
If there ever was an X-Rated Mad Magazine skit it would look just like this world the liberals have created.
It matters. The NFL simply has a few bucks to wait this out but those bucks are very draining to them. Keep boycotting their anti-white, anti-American racism. They are near their breaking point.
I started watching NFL at my father’s feet, when it was in black and white, with no instant replay, and stars like Y. A. Tittle and Johnny Unitas. I was a faithful fan until September 2016; I have not watched a game since. I recently tried looking at scores and standings and found I no longer care. The monkey is off my back. Sunday afternoons are MINE again.
Whatever.
Very well said.
I hit that point as well. Wondered where the Seahawks are in the division --- then, relaized I didn't care where they were. I watched every Sunday --- now, don't pay any attention to it at all.
Still not watching!
It doesn't matter - as long as the intelligent among us see the scam for what it is and leave it behind, more will eventually follow.
I don’t care if the NFL boycott is working or not. All I know is the sight of an NFL team disgusts me. Now they’re wearing camo and sucking up to vets. They treat us like fools.
Yes, they do hate us and blame us.
The kneelers were completely wrong — why dump on someone or another group to make the point that you have been treated unfairly. Our servicemen and women have sacrificed and even suffered in many instances. To attack them in protest is wrong! It invalidates your protest.
Reading your comment, I just thought of this idea. Steve Bannon should marshal boycotters to use the time they used to spend watching the NFL earning money to donate to campaigns to help drain the swamp or volunteer their time to the same effort.
The good teams still draw crowds the bad teams not so much.
