My wife (literally “the girl next door”) and I, were a couple of 19 y/o kids from Ohio living in an apt in Hollywood at that time...and just 15 minutes from the Sharon Tate home and the LaBianca home.

Even without a TV to see/hear news coverage, it was talked about everywhere we went.

Of course Manson was happier in CA than Ohio, where he was born and raised.

CA has the very best and the worst of nearly everything and I'm sure he didn't miss that brutal Ohio weather.☺
