IIRC, the ROK used human feces on the crops during my time there for Uncle Sam in 1992. We were told not to eat vegetables from the farms because of the use of human waste as fertilizer. It was almost a guarantee that you’d get really sick.It's not a problem as long as the vegetables are fully cooked before consumption. Raw salads are a definite no-no.
